New hotels & holiday apartments in winter 2026/27: New touches from Tyrol's hosts

New accommodations, concepts, and perspectives for winter holidays: Tyrol's offerings will see a diverse expansion in the 2026/27 season. Historic buildings are being transformed into unique holiday destinations, new hotels are focusing on design and wellness, apartments combine independence with hotel comfort, and existing businesses are creating new offerings through expansions and renovations. From the revitalization of a former "lost place" on Lake Achensee to new aparthotels and holiday apartments, and a comprehensively modernized mountain hut on the Zahmer Kaiser mountain range. New hotels

Mazaggs – Alpenhof am Achensee, Pertisau · Achensee

After more than 50 years of vacancy, the former Alpenhof am Achensee is being brought back to life: at the end of 2026, the historic building will reopen as a boutique hotel directly on the lake . The building is being carefully renovated and named after the architect Siegfried Mazagg; the rooms and suites are inspired by Art Deco. A hotel for art and design enthusiasts, golfers, gourmets, and anyone who likes to end an active day with a delicious dinner.

THE GREEN, Uderns · Fügen-Kaltenbach Holiday Region

Between the golf course and ski area, the new THE GREEN hotel resort in the Zillertal Valley will open in December 2026. A highlight is the 3,300 m² indoor and outdoor wellness area, Flora & Fauna, with pools, saunas, a sky garden, and THE GREEN Lagoon, a natural bathing lake. Additional amenities include a kids' club, seminar and off-site facilities, and a flexible buffet concept for breakfast, afternoon tea, and dinner.

Q Lodge, Leutasch · Seefeld Region – Tyrol's High Plateau Just 100 steps from the Hotel Quellenhof, the new Q Lodge will open in Leutasch in November 2026. This annex of the renowned wellness hotel offers 15 exclusive rooms with spacious living areas, modern architecture, and natural materials.

New holiday apartments & aparthotels

Apartments '43, Reith im Alpbachtal · Alpbachtal

Since July 2026, Hanni and Hansi Reschenhofer have been offering newly built studios for up to three people and modernized apartments for up to five people in Reith im Alpbachtal. The accommodations also include five pitches for campervans and vans, as well as a shared area with a Finnish sauna, a bio-herbal sauna, and an infrared cabin. Lounge and play areas, along with self-check-in, complete the concept.

By Franz – Alpine Aparthotel, Kirchberg · Kitzbühel Alps – Brixental

The former Landhotel Lechner in Kirchberg was completely modernized after a fire about two years ago and has now reopened as an aparthotel. Instead of classic hotel rooms, there are 13 apartments for families, friends, and active vacationers. Window seating, a sauna, and a ski and bike storage room are part of the new concept, as are modern building technology, timber construction in the attic, and a photovoltaic system.

Twentyone Living – Boutique Aparthotel, Sölden · Ötztal

The newly built, family-run Twentyone Living will open in December 2026 in a central location in Sölden. Modern studios and spacious Family & Friends apartments offer accommodation for couples, families, and friends. Amenities include a large wellness area with sauna, infrared cabin, and more, as well as a breakfast trolley that awaits guests directly outside their apartments each morning.

Das Buggls, Sölden · Ötztal

From winter 2026/27, 14 newly designed holiday apartments for two to six people await guests in the heart of Sölden. High-quality interiors, spacious layouts and the central location near mountain lifts, restaurants and shops combine alpine living with easy access to everything at Das Buggls .

Residence Seiblishof, Mathon · Paznaun – Ischgl

The recently constructed new building in Mathon, featuring modern alpine apartments, will open in winter 2026/27. Box-spring beds and high-quality, hotel-like amenities, including bathrobes and slippers, combine the independence of a holiday apartment with hotel comfort. Check-in and service are provided through the Hotel Seiblishof .

Mountain Panorama 1135, Navis · Wipptal

A newly built apartment building with three holiday apartments, each accommodating up to six people, has opened in Navis. The light-filled apartments offer unobstructed mountain views, and an elevator provides barrier-free access. Electric car charging stations and the quiet location complete the offering.

Apartment Fieger, Volders · Hall-Wattens Region

Located directly next to Friedberg Castle in Volders, the stylishly renovated Apartment Fieger offers 100 m² of living space. This holiday apartment is part of a historic complex and combines modern amenities with exposed wooden beams and natural stone. Three bedrooms provide accommodation for up to six people. The newly renovated apartment offers a stay in close proximity to the listed castle, whose history dates back to the 13th century.

Trautson Castle Living, Matrei am Brenner · Wipptal

A holiday apartment for up to eight people is located in the former chaplaincy of Trautson Castle in Matrei . The building is the only one that survived the 1945 bombing raid, in which the castle was almost completely destroyed. Historic furnishings, castle ambiance, and the location on a scenic hill with views stretching as far as Innsbruck make this accommodation a truly special holiday destination.

Apartments VIER.ZWEI, Abfaltersbach, East Tyrol:

In Abfaltersbach, a former traditional farmhouse is being transformed into a new accommodation with four holiday apartments, each approximately 40 m². Natural materials and handcrafted furniture meet modern living comfort at VIER.ZWEI . A ski storage room, lounge, relaxation area, and Finnish sauna complete the offerings. The opening is planned for early December 2026 at the latest.

Conversions and extensions

Hotel Klosterbräu, Seefeld · Seefeld Region – Tyrol's High Plateau

Following the major fire in April 2026, the Hotel Klosterbräu is scheduled to reopen in December 2026. In addition to the reconstruction, already planned projects will be implemented: an adults-only sauna house with panoramic views, a natural swimming pond of approximately 50 m², the renovation of the existing wellness area and additional rooms, including more nature-themed double rooms.

Biohotel Bergzeit, Zöblen · Tannheimer Valley.

This family-run hotel is expanding by 23 rooms by December 2026, almost doubling its size. New additions include an 18-meter-long pool, an expanded sauna and wellness area, a yoga and fitness room, an underground parking garage, and a bar. Biohotel Bergzeit is a member of the Biohotels association and the Change Maker Hotels network.

Central Hoamat, Fügen · Fügen-Kaltenbach Holiday Region.

Following renovation and expansion, the complex in the Zillertal valley will reopen in December 2026: 18 additional apartments in the Central Hoamat will be complemented by modernized rooms and apartments in the main building. New features also include a panoramic rooftop pool, a family and adults-only sauna, a fitness room, play areas, and a large garden. The underground parking garage and ski and bike storage room will also be expanded.

Vorderkaiserfeldenhütte · Kufsteinerland

After approximately two years of construction and a complete renovation of the more than 130-year-old hut, the Vorderkaiserfeldenhütte is scheduled to reopen in October 2026. The original hut will be completely rebuilt, existing infrastructure modernized and brought up to higher safety standards, yet its historical character will be preserved thanks to the careful renovation. A new self-catering accommodation with a winter room will be added, and the hut will be open year-round. The new management team will focus on regional products and authentic mountain hut cuisine.
