Kitzbühel Lift Co's' Anton Bodner and Christian Wörister appointed to the Austrian Senate of Economy

The Kitzbühel Mountain Railway Company is delighted to receive a special award: CEO Anton Bodner and board member Christian Wörister have been appointed to the Austrian Senate of the Economy.

In a formal ceremony, the certificate of appointment was personally presented by Hans Harrer, Chairman of the Board of the SENATE OF ECONOMY, Ludwig Stepan, member of the management board, and Senior Representative Stefan Unterweger. The SENATE OF ECONOMY Austria is a non-partisan business organization and advocacy group committed to an eco-social and sustainable economy and society.

Appointment to the Senate of the Economy is a special recognition of entrepreneurial achievement, responsible conduct, and active participation in shaping economic and social developments. For Bergbahn AG Kitzbühel, this award also represents an appreciation of the chosen path, characterized by quality, innovation, regional responsibility, and sustainable development.

With an annual turnover of around 75 million euros, Kitzbühel Mountain Railway AG is one of the largest cable car companies in Austria. With modern infrastructure, a diverse year-round offering, and strong ties to the region, KitzSki has established itself as a successful and future-oriented tourism company far beyond the borders of Tyrol.

With Anton Bodner and Christian Wörister, two experienced leaders are at the helm of the company. Anton Bodner brings more than 35 years of experience as managing director and board member in corporations and has been Chairman of the Board of Bergbahn AG Kitzbühel since 2019. He is also active as a lecturer and in various committees and organizations.

Christian Wörister holds a Master's degree and has over 20 years of experience in tourism and regional development. After holding several management positions, including in the Hohe Tauern National Park holiday region and at Salzburg AG Tourism GmbH, he was appointed to the board of Bergbahn AG Kitzbühel in 2020.

The appointment of both board members to the Senate of the Economy underlines the importance of responsible corporate governance and the shared endeavor to sustainably develop tourism, the economy and the region.
