Helly Hansen unveils its latest ski collection, developed with mountain professionals

With winter fast approaching, Helly Hansen has given a first look at their 2026 ski collection, bringing together new technical innovations and field-tested designs developed alongside the professionals who rely on the brand in the mountains.

Launching this winter, key new styles include:

  • Atlas Infinity H2Flow Shell – introducing Helly Hansen’s H2Flow temperature-regulating system to a shell jacket for the first time, combining targeted insulation and ventilation with HELLY TECH Professional protection.

  • Sogn Patrol Shell Jacket – developed with professional ski patrollers and freeride skiers, using the same fabric as Helly Hansen’s professional ski patrol uniforms and incorporating field-tested details designed for long days in demanding conditions.

  • Arctic Shield Pro Boot HT – engineered for extreme cold, with 600g PrimaLoft insulation and OrthoLite® O-Therm aerogel-infused insulation underfoot.

  • Also launching for Winter 2026 is the Lifa Merino KnitEvo, Helly Hansen’s latest take on the technical base layer. Its body-mapped construction combines open-knit zones for breathability with a loftier Merino layer where additional warmth is needed, making it suited to everything from hiking and mountaineering to ski touring.

  • Alongside the new launches, Helly Hansen’s established ski bestsellers return for Winter 2026, including the Alpha 4.0, Alpha LIFALOFT and Alphelia LIFALOFT jackets and pants, Panorama fleece, Legendary Ski Pant, and Ridge Infinity Shell and Sogn Shell 2.0 jackets and pants.

Atlas Infinity H2Flow Shell

For nearly 150 years, leading global ski brand, Helly Hansen has been trusted by professionals, using their insights to drive continuous innovation. New for Winter 2026, the Atlas Infinity H2Flow Shell (SRP £850) integrates the H2Flow system into a shell jacket for the first time, alongside a suite of professional-grade performance technologies, making it an ideal choice for long days on the slopes.

The Norway-based brand is iconic for developing numerous first-to-market technologies, including the H2Flow temperature regulating system with mountain professionals to deliver comfort in changing weather conditions and fluctuating activity levels. Featuring strategically placed down and PrimaLoft Gold Cross Core pods, the jacket enhances air circulation, while excess heat can be released through a smart ventilation system, including vents in the back yoke. With the integration of the H2Flow system, skiers can store warm air when they need insulation and quickly cool down through targeted ventilation zippers when activity levels increase.

The Atlas Infinity H2Flow Shell also features LIFA INFINITY, part of Helly Hansen’s most innovative waterproof/breathable technology to date. The innovative LIFA INFINITY membrane is achieved without the use of solvents or PFAS, and together with a face fabric and durable water repellent (DWR) treatment, the jacket meets the extreme protection of HELLY TECH Professional fabric construction.

Additional technical performance details include:

  • Multiple storage options including a LIFE POCKET to keep phones running longer in cold conditions, plus phone leash

  • Expandable, helmet-compatible hood with neon detailing to boost visibility when in use

  • Reinforcement fabric on the shoulders for durability

  • Articulated sleeves for optimal mobility

  • RECCO reflector for searchability in an emergency

  • Fully sealed seams and no shoulder seams for added comfort, removable stretch powder skirt, and adjustable bottom hem and cuffs

Louise Micolon, Category Manager for Winter Sports at Helly Hansen, comments, “More and more skiers – across freeride, touring and even resort skiing – are choosing shells and becoming increasingly aware of effective layering systems. With this jacket, we set out to push what thermoregulation in a shell can achieve by integrating our unique H2Flow system into a jacket, whilst remaining exceptionally sturdy and durable. Typically, the more durable the shell, the less breathable it becomes, so you can’t have everything in one jacket – but this comes close, enhancing airflow and comfort without compromising durable protection.”

The men’s Atlas Infinity H2Flow Shell is available in-store and online, and as a part of Helly Hansen’s Ski Free programme, consumers can get a free day of skiing in one of over 80 premier resorts across Europe and North America with the purchase of the jacket.

The Sogn Patrol Shell Jacket

The Sogn Patrol Shell Jacket (SRP £640), was designed and developed with feedback from professional ski patrollers and freeride skiers around the world, for long-lasting protection in a durable, purpose-built design ideal for both resort and backcountry skiing.

Worn by mountain professionals at more than 200 ski resorts and guiding operations globally, Helly Hansen collaborates with those who depend on their gear every day in even the toughest conditions. And, with performance and protection at its core, Helly Hansen draws on these real-world insights to inspire designs that push the boundaries for professionals and enthusiasts alike. Constructed with the same fabric used in professional ski patrol uniforms, the new Sogn Patrol Shell Jacket guarantees durable protection and long-lasting quality. The fabric, which was tested in Helly Hansen’s own R&D lab alongside the in-field testing by ski patrollers, delivers the highest level of waterproof/breathability featuring HELLY TECH Professional fabric construction and fully sealed seams.

Combining the insights of ski patrollers with feedback from professional freeride skiers, the Sogn Patrol Shell Jacket is also loaded with field-tested details, including a large chest pocket designed to accommodate radios – an essential for ski patrollers – and fabric reinforcements at the hem and cuffs, areas prone to wear from daily patrol work. Multiple storage options, appreciated especially by freeride skiers who carry extra essentials for long days on the mountain, include two power mesh stash pockets and a LIFE POCKET, which keeps phones running longer in cold climates, plus a phone leash to prevent drops.

Louise Micolon, Category Manager for Winter Sports at Helly Hansen, comments, “We have the unique opportunity to work closely with our in-house professional services team to truly understand how our ski patrol partners put their uniforms to test day in and day out. By combining their on-the-job experience with insights from our professional freeride skiers, we’re able to create gear that delivers the same level of performance and protection for professionals and passionate skiers alike.”

Ahead of its Winter release, the Sogn Patrol Shell Jacket has already received the industry-leading ISPO Award, recognising the most innovative sports products. As a Top 5 winner in its category, the jacket received one of the highest scores from the jury.

ISPO Award Jury Statement: “Patrol-tested durability, pro-level waterproofing and functional details make this jacket a true workhorse for extreme conditions.”

Additional technical features include underarm ventilation; a removable powder skirt; a repairable front zipper; stretch panels for a snug fit around the helmet and optimal visibility; a removable, helmet-compatible and expandable hood with a hi vis brim; an expandable collar; and a RECCO reflector for searchability in an emergency.

The Sogn Patrol Shell Jacket will be available in both women’s and men’s specific designs alongside the unisex Sogn Patrol Shell Pant in-store and online starting from Autumn 2026. Part of Helly Hansen’s Ski Free programme, consumers can get a free day of skiing in one of over 80 premier resorts across Europe and North America with the purchase of the jacket.

Lifa Merino KnitEvo

An evolution of Lifa Merino – the unique two-in-one base layer combining proprietary LIFA fibres next to the skin with a Merino wool exterior – the new Lifa Merino KnitEvo (SRP £120) takes performance even further. Its body-mapped construction features an open-knit structure in high-heat zones for enhanced breathability and moisture management while a tighter knit, loftier Merino wool layer adds warmth where it’s needed most. New for Winter 2026, the new Lifa Merino KnitEvo styles deliver elevated performance across a range of winter activities including skiing, ski touring, hiking and mountaineering.

LIFA revolutionised the industry when it was first introduced in 1970. The fabric is based on a yarn technology that moves moisture away from the skin and transports it to the surface of the fabric, where it evaporates, leaving you warm, dry and comfortable. Lifa Merino builds on this technology with LIFA fibres next to skin and a Merino wool exterior, and Lifa Merino KnitEvo pushes performance even further, incorporating innovative engineered knit technologies and a body-mapped construction.

Informed by R&D and developed with ski professionals, including top athletes from Team Telenor Alpine Norway and Alpine Canada Alpin, who depend on their high-performance gear in tough conditions and high speeds, the new Lifa Merino KnitEvo Crew addresses varying thermal and moisture management needs across body zones. An open-knit structure in the back and underarms provides optimal breathability, while RWS-certified ZQ Merino wool on the shoulders and upper arms adds targeted warmth. Flatlock seams and raglan sleeves ensure a comfortable fit with unrestricted movement.

Martin Cizeron, Product Manager for Outdoor at Helly Hansen, comments, “Our Lifa Merino base layers have become a trusted choice for both professionals and consumers seeking the perfect combination of comfort, warmth and performance. With the Lifa Merino KnitEvo, we’re building on that expertise – delivering the same warmth and comfort that we’re known for, now with enhanced thermal-management performance. It’s our most advanced base layer yet, designed to keep you warm and comfortable whether you’re on the slopes or in the backcountry.”

Ahead of its release, the Lifa Merino KnitEvo Crew has already been named an ISPO Award Gold Winner, the highest honour in its category, given to the top-scoring product for exceptional innovation and performance.

ISPO Award Jury Statement: “LIFA moisture transport, Merino warmth and body-mapped engineering make the KnitEvo Crew a true winter performance upgrade.”

The new Lifa Merino KnitEvo styles – including the crew, a half-zip top, a three-quarter pant and midlayer jacket – will be available in both men’s and women’s specific designs in-store and online starting Autumn 2026.

Arctic Shield Pro Boot HT

Launching in Winter 2026, the new Arctic Shield Pro Boot HT (SRP £230) is purpose-built for extremely cold, snowy environments to ensure all-day warmth, even in the most frigid temperatures.

Founded and based in Norway, the brand’s roots in extreme environments shape its approach to designing high-quality, performance-driven gear. The new boot features 600g PrimaLoft insulation for reliable warmth, while OrthoLite® O-Therm™ insole technology – the world’s first and only aerogel-infused open-cell PU foam and the lightest, most advanced insulative material for underfoot protection – provides exceptional thermal insulation for all-day comfort.

Designed specifically for snowy winter conditions, the Arctic Shield Pro Boot HT is made with a full suite of performance technologies and details including:

  • An HH Snow-Grip outsole for reliable grip on packed snow or slush

  • A locking hook that allows you to adjust low and mid lace tightening differently for personalised comfort

  • A high length shaft to keep your feet protected even in deep snow

Markus Westerberg, Design Director for Footwear at Helly Hansen, comments, “At Helly Hansen, innovation drives everything we do. We’re always looking for ways to elevate our designs to deliver the highest level of performance and protection. With our deep Norwegian roots, we understand the demands of extreme winter conditions and the importance of gear that keeps you warm, safe and comfortable. The Arctic Shield Pro Boot HT was designed with this in mind – built to handle everything from slushy streets to rugged, unpredictable terrain.”

Ahead of its Winter release, the Arctic Shield Pro Boot HT has already received the industry-leading ISPO Award, recognising the most innovative sports products. It’s also made with 100% recycled lining, 100% recycled laces, 100% recycled polyester webbing, and 100% recycled polyester Stroble.

ISPO Award Jury Statement: “Aerogel underfoot warmth, 600g PrimaLoft® insulation and HH Snow-Grip traction make this one of the most protective winter boots we’ve ever judged.”

Made to handle snow-covered trails, frozen ground and slippery slush, the Arctic Shield Pro Boot HT will be available in men’s and women’s specific designs in-store and online starting Autumn 2026.
