Zeb Powell brings “Zeb’s Closet” to Blue Tomato: Snowboard superstar celebrates new Burton collection with the community

Zeb Powell has opened his closet. Together with the legendary US brand Burton, the snowboard superstar presented "Zeb's Closet" – a new collection now available at the international boardsports and lifestyle specialist Blue Tomato ( blue-tomato.com ). The Burton team rider recently visited the Blue Tomato stores in Munich and Vienna for the launch.

  • Zeb Powell's style meets waterproof outerwear: functional details and oversized silhouettes for unrestricted freedom of movement.

  • From hoodies and rugby shirts to reversible insulated vests: layering pieces for every day

  • The snowboard icon met the community at two events in Blue Tomato shops in Munich and Vienna.

“Zeb’s Closet Tour was much more than just the presentation of a new collection. It became a true meeting place for the scene, where riders, fans, and friends of snowboarding came together,” says Jonas Pernitz, Team Manager Partnerships & Campaigns at Blue Tomato. “Together with Burton and Zeb Powell, we were able to bring snowboard culture directly into our shops and create authentic experiences that reflect the creativity, individuality, and strong sense of community within the snowboard community.”

Hoodies, jerseys, shorts, pants and much more

It all started with a simple question: What would Zeb actually wear? The answer is "Zeb's Closet," the first globally available outerwear and apparel collection developed jointly by Burton and Zeb Powell. Waterproof outerwear, functional details, and high-quality craftsmanship meet oversized and baggy silhouettes that have become Zeb's unmistakable style. Every piece offers unrestricted freedom of movement and flow.

“Zeb's Closet” includes hoodies, jerseys, rugby shirts, tees, shorts and pants, as well as functional outerwear for every session. All pieces are designed to be layered and worn every day – far beyond the pitch. The range is complemented by a reversible, insulated vest that combines technical function with a distinctive vibe.

Zeb Powell explains the name of the line: “The collection is called ‘Zeb’s Closet’ because it’s exactly what I would wear myself – both on and off the mountain,” says Powell. “I’ve always seen snowboarding as a form of self-expression, and I wanted this collection to radiate that same energy for all riders out there – so they can rock it, mix and match it however they like, and make it their own style.”

Shred session with Zeb in Hintertux

On October 2nd, Zeb and his crew performed at the Hintertux Opening – and some lucky winners got to join them. Blue Tomato raffled off bus tickets for the trip to Hintertux as well as an exclusive breakfast with Zeb. This gave fans the chance to spend a day on the mountain with Zeb and the crew – an unforgettable experience for everyone and a fantastic start to the new winter season.

Burton x Zeb: From a barn in Vermont to Knuckle Huck gold

Founded in 1977 by Jake Burton Carpenter in a Vermont barn, Burton has transformed snowboarding from a hobby into a world-class sport. Five decades later, the brand stands for innovation, sustainability, and authentic rider culture. With the "Zeb's Closet" project, Burton reflects a new generation of snowboarders, driven by creativity and community, that is redefining the sport.

Zeb Powell, a 26-year-old goofy rider from Waynesville, North Carolina, made a name for himself with a blend of smooth rail play, shifties, and sick grabs. He had his breakthrough at the 2020 X Games Aspen, where he won gold in the Knuckle Huck. But Powell isn't just about contest results. With his video sessions and distinctive personality, he demonstrates just how versatile snowboarding can be.
