Skiresort.info Becomes Skiresort.com as Ski Data Giant Launches International Portal

Skiresort, one of the world's leading information platforms for ski resorts, ski regions and winter sports, has launched a new international portal at Skiresort.com — migrating its former English-language site, Skiresort.info, to the new domain as part of a wider push into new language markets.

The Munich-based company, Skiresort Service International GmbH, confirmed that all English-language content previously hosted on Skiresort.info is now available under the new address, with visitors to the old domain automatically redirected. A banner on the new site tells returning users that "everything else remains the same – just our new global domain."

The start of a bigger multilingual push

The rebrand to Skiresort.com is more than a straightforward domain swap. According to the company, it marks the beginning of an international multilingual strategy that will see Polish and Czech versions of the platform launch later this year, with further languages to follow in 2027.

By the start of the 2026/27 winter season, Skiresort says it will operate ten portals across seven languages — a significant expansion from the platform's current footprint. The service already runs German, Dutch, French and Italian editions alongside its English portal, and country-specific German-language versions for Austria and Switzerland, plus a Belgian Dutch edition. The German site, Skiresort.de, is the platform's oldest, having launched in 1998, with the English-language edition following in 2010 and the Dutch, French and Italian versions arriving in 2013.

A major player in ski resort data

Skiresort describes itself as the world's largest ski resort test portal, and the scale of its data operation is considerable. The platform currently attracts 21.6 million visitors and 67 million page views a year, and says it is the only service offering information on all of the world's roughly 6,100 ski resorts. It publishes more than 500 independent test reports, updates around 900 snow reports and weather data for over 5,300 resorts daily, and pulls in more than 5,900 webcams and livestreams each day covering conditions across the globe.

The company says the launch of Skiresort.com represents the next milestone in its international expansion, with new language editions intended to open up markets in Central and Eastern Europe while reinforcing its existing portals elsewhere.

Building toward a broader global platform

Skiresort said the new .com domain is designed to lay the groundwork for making its full range of services — resort listings, snow reports, weather forecasts, resort reviews and ratings, and online booking — accessible to a wider global audience going forward.

The company, whose portfolio already includes a companion app for iOS and Android offering similar resort, snow and weather data on mobile, said the migration to Skiresort.com would strengthen its position as one of the leading platforms in the ski and winter sports information space as it works toward its ten-portal, seven-language target for next season.
