Iglu Ski Raises £700 for Disability Snowsport UK in Triathlon Success
19/August/2026
Iglu Ski is proud to support DSUK, a snowsports charity with a vision of barrier-free access to the ski slopes. Their mission is to make snowsports accessible to everyone, and they’ve made it their mission to do that.

Through their own fundraising initiatives and thanks to the generous donations from customers, Iglu can help DSUK to provide adaptive lessons, incredible trips, and thrilling experiences for those who were born with or have been diagnosed with a disability, or those who have experienced a life-changing injury.
On August 15th, a team from Iglu Ski took part in the 10th Superheroes Triathlon to raise money for their chosen charity, Disability Snowsport UK.
In total, the team raised in excess of £700, which means 15 disabled adults or children can learn to ski at an indoor slope in the UK, bringing life-changing confidence, freedom and fun.
The Iglu Team, comprising Iglu Ski Managing Director Simon McIntyre, along with his family, and Jeanette Chippington OBE, one of Team GB’s most successful ever Paralympians, took part in their Superhero mission, perfectly dressed in superhero costumes.
Simon McIntyre said, ‘I just couldn’t resist joining in the Superhero fun at Dorney Lake this year. It’s such a privilege to raise money for adaptive skiing and snowboarding, and I hope we can do it all again next year.’
Fundraising Officer at Disability Snowsport UK, Fay Strathmerren said, ‘The money you’ve raised will help Disability Snowsport UK continue creating opportunities for disabled children and adults to experience the freedom, confidence and community that adaptive skiing and snowboarding can bring.’
For the past three years, Iglu Ski has taken part in the London Marathon, running on behalf of DSUK.
In 2023, Head of Commercial, Gordon Ritter, and Ski Sales Consultant, Lucas Lambert, raised almost £7,500 for DSUK.
In 2024, Head of Sales, Phillip Wright, not only raised almost £2,000 for DSUK, he finished the London Marathon in under four hours - an incredible feat.
In 2025, Senior Marketing Executive, Joe Bowler, and SEO Executive, Francesco Fuca, will be running the London Marathon on behalf of DSUK. Best of luck!
Away from the marathon, Iglu Ski also hosts regular fundraising activities in the office.
