Andes Cup Draws Global Ski and Snowboard Talent to Valle Nevado

Valle Nevado continues to cement its reputation as a sought-after Southern Hemisphere destination for international ski and snowboard athletes, with more than 90 competitors from 11 countries descending on the Chilean resort Sept 7th – 11th, for the 2026 Andes Cup by Oakley, an international freeski and snowboard competition and official stop on the FIS South American Cup circuit.

With its high-altitude terrain, reliable winter conditions and world-class snowpark, Valle Nevado has become an important training and competition venue during the Northern Hemisphere summer. The resort's location high in the Andes provides international teams and elite athletes with valuable on-snow training opportunities when their home mountains are out of season.

This year's Andes Cup brought athletes from across North America, South America, Europe and Asia to the Andes, competing for points toward qualification for the World Cup, World Championships and Continental Cups.

U.S. athletes delivered strong performances throughout the competition. Finley Good earned a first-place finish and two second-place finishes in women's freeski, while Logan Parham won men's Big Air and Shane Good took a Slopestyle victory. Chilean Olympian Dominique Ohaco dominated the women's freeski competition with three wins, while athletes from Japan, Spain, Italy, Estonia, Argentina and Chile also reached the podium.
