Kasberg becomes officially part of the Dachstein Salzkammergut cable car company

The Kasberg ski area in Grünau im Almtal was fully integrated into the Dachstein Salzkammergut cable car network on November 1, 2026. It thus complements the existing offerings around Dachstein West, Dachstein Krippenstein, Feuerkogel, Grünberg, and Wurbauerkogel. The official decision was made on the morning of October 31, 2026. To ensure that current Kasberg guests can also take advantage of the discounted pre-sale prices, the season pass pre-sale, originally scheduled to end on the same day, has been extended until and including Monday, November 16, 2026.

More skiing fun at no extra cost

The Kasberg ski area is automatically included in the following tickets for the 2026/27 winter season at no extra charge: the Natürlich 365 ticket, the Dachstein West season pass, the Happy Hour ticket, the Parents' Time Out ticket, and Dachstein West multi-day ski passes (1.5 days or longer).

The inclusion of the Kasberg in the SuperSkiCard is also being pursued for the upcoming winter season. A decision is expected in the first week of November.

Rupert Schiefer, Managing Director of OÖ Seilbahnholding GmbH said “ After a lengthy process, we are pleased to welcome the Kasberg as part of the Dachstein Salzkammergut mountain lifts. Work on its complete integration is already in full swing. By extending the season ticket pre-sale, we are giving our existing Kasberg customers the opportunity to purchase season and annual passes at the discounted pre-sale prices. The Kasberg expands our offerings and strengthens our position in winter tourism. ”

With the integration of the Kasberg and the acquisition of the Wurbauerkogel in Windischgarsten, the Dachstein Salzkammergut mountain lifts now offer seven summer lifts at different locations and four ski areas. The company also now operates three restaurants.
