Lenzerheide Lift Co's Interim report for the 2025/26 financial year: Stability under challenging conditions

The winter season started promisingly in November 2025. Thanks to abundant snowfall and low temperatures, the ski resort was able to open on schedule.

Artificial snowmaking once again proved indispensable for winter operations. A considerable effort was required to provide an attractive range of snow sports with excellently groomed slopes. After a period with little snow until February, a change in the weather brought a significant amount of fresh snow and necessitated extensive safety measures in the ski area.

March then presented itself with sunny weather, which continued into April and enabled strong Easter business at the end of the season.

Despite increased costs for snowmaking, slope preparation, and rising energy prices, a solid EBITDA result is expected, leading LBB to anticipate a positive year-end result overall.

A particular highlight was the destination's second consecutive first-place finish in the Blick Winter Awards in March, in the category "Best Ski & Snowboard Resort in Switzerland."

With Jürg Rötheli as the new Chairman of the Board and Reto Aeschbacher as the new CEO, the new management team took office in autumn 2025.

Jürg Rötheli emphasizes: "As Chairman of the Board, I place particular importance on consistently focusing our strategic attention on our core business. The further development of snowmaking, lift infrastructure, catering infrastructure, and the Canols project are crucial for the long-term success of the company and the destination."

The investment focus for the next three years will be on expanding the snowmaking infrastructure. In parallel, the west side will undergo comprehensive and holistic development. In the area of digitalization, the introduction of new digital services and the "Summit Society" loyalty program will mark another milestone. Additionally, parts of the Bestzeit staff accommodation will be converted for year-round rental to employees.

The 2026 summer season is expected to start on May 14, 2026. Right at the beginning of summer, the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup will provide a sporting highlight from June 19 to 21, 2026. After last year's weather-related postponement, the Steinwichtelweg (Stone Gnome Trail) will be officially opened with two celebrations in the summer of 2026.
