Söll: New modernized gondola lift from Hexenwasser to the Hohe Salve opens on June 27th.

While the Hexenwasser gondola lift to the Hexenwasser adventure park has been operating since May, there's an early surprise for those wanting to reach the very top: The comprehensively modernized gondola lift from Hexenwasser to the Hohe Salve will begin operating earlier than expected. Starting Saturday, June 27, the first guests will glide barrier-free and comfortably to the 1,829-meter-high panoramic mountain.

The final countdown to the opening was spectacular: On June 25th, the 1.6-ton golden SalvenSun was successfully airlifted to the mountain by a heavy-lift helicopter. The sun floated precisely into place in its new position in the celestial labyrinth – an impressive moment full of technology and emotion. Fittingly for the upcoming season and symbolically for summer, the SalvenSun thus "rose" over the Hohe Salve.

Comments on the opening:

"The early start to the season is a huge thank you to the entire construction team, who worked in record time. With the modernization costing around 3.3 million euros, we are consistently investing in true barrier-free comfort. Thanks to the new elevator directly at the mountain station, we are making the summit, including the famous Salven Chapel and the panoramic summit mountain hut, accessible to absolutely everyone without steps starting this summer." Managing Director Mario Gruber:

“There is no right or wrong. Many paths lead to the center. The Sky Labyrinth is not a maze with dead ends, but a place between heaven and earth. With the SalvenSun at its heart, it represents warmth, orientation, and vitality. Thus, a very special place for wonder, encounters, and reflection is being created on the Hohe Salve.” Idea originator, project developer & marketing manager of the Söll Mountain Railway – Sabine Weiss

Planetary orbits and celestial labyrinth

Upon reaching the top, visitors are greeted by the new Sky Labyrinth, carefully integrated into the landscape and constructed from wooden logs. In orbit around the Earth, exactly 365 logs represent the days of the year; the twelve nights of Christmas and the zodiac signs are specially marked. At the center rises the four-meter-high golden SalvenSun. Around the labyrinth, eight newly constructed planetary marble runs invite visitors to playfully explore our solar system. As a special surprise, every guest will receive a free marble at the ticket office this solar year.

The opening of the new attractions will also be celebrated: On Friday, July 10, the Söll mountain lifts and the Söll brass band invite you to a benefit concert on the Hohe Salve. 100% of the proceeds will go to regional social projects (Schritt für Schritt, Söller Familienfonds, and Sozialsprengel Söllandl).
