Sölden: What happens when you expand a ski resort by just two kilometers of slopes?

One winter later. Time for a conclusion.

The feedback from the Sölden mountain railways regarding the piste intersection in Sölden is quite clear:

  • Steeper sections are more frequently avoided – and therefore remain in good condition for longer.

  • For many guests, the return journey to the valley is significantly more relaxed and less strenuous.

  • Winter sports enthusiasts are noticeably better distributed throughout the entire ski area.

  • Waiting times are deliberately avoided – especially at busy points.

  • The effect is also evident in the valley: less pressure on public transport.

What was originally conceived as a connection is now more than that,, there is a genuine enrichment of the ski slopes – with greater flexibility, new routes, and unusual perspectives of Sölden.

And perhaps most importantly: Gaislachkogl and Giggijoch have moved a little closer together again.
