Lech Lift Co's Investment measures fully underway

The investment measures for the mountain summer of 2026 and the winter of 2026/27 are now fully underway.

"In total, the Lech mountain railways are once again investing extensively in the further development of our offerings – both for the summer season in the mountains, the mountain restaurants and for the highest quality slopes in winter."

A new water playground and petting zoo are currently being built on the Rud-Alpe. In addition, a new open-air bar with a high-quality reclaimed wood look, extra storage space, and modern technology is being constructed for the winter months.

Work has also begun on the Balmalp: The new "Lech Mountain Mirror" is being created in collaboration with the internationally renowned architecture firm Snøhetta. The installation is scheduled to be unveiled at the start of the 2026 mountain season. The surrounding mountain landscape will be reflected in it, creating a special place for unique nature experiences and impressive photographs.

In parallel, the expansion of the snowmaking infrastructure is being consistently continued. The measures initiated in the summer of 2025 are being carried out: Additional pipes are being renewed at Schlegelkopf and designed to meet future requirements. Furthermore, an underground balancing reservoir with a capacity of 300 m³ is being constructed at the mountain station, and at the same time, the pump house is being completely renovated at a new location but within the existing premises. This will allow Lech to triple the snowmaking capacity towards Kriegerhorn and Steinmähder in the future.

For even greater efficiency and power, 15 new energy-efficient Supersnow propeller snowmaking machines, designed specifically for the Lech region, will be put into operation this fall. In addition, 27 modern DemacLenko snow cannons have been ordered for the Lech section of the Madloch ski area. This will significantly reduce energy consumption for snowmaking in the future.

The terrain modification at Felpel will also be implemented by autumn 2026. This will significantly improve and sustainably optimize the ski slope from Kriegerhorn to Schlegelkopf at a critical point.
