A summer full of new products and anniversaries in Kitzbühel

From international sporting events like the Austrian Alpine Open, held for the first time in Kitzbühel in May as part of the DP World Tour, and the comeback of women's tennis, to new leisure activities and cultural highlights – Kitzbühel is a guarantee for quality, diversity, and living tradition. Locals and visitors alike can expect numerous new features and special highlights in the Gamsstadt (Kitzbühel) during the summer season. Top-class events, new biking infrastructure, and a varied entertainment program underscore the region's commitment to making sporting excellence and the alpine lifestyle accessible even in summer.

Kitzbühel Tourism Managing Director Dr. Viktoria Veider-Walser is delighted with the continued commitment to the region: “It fills us with great joy to see how dynamically the Kitzbühel region has developed in recent years. The combination of living tradition and new inspiration is particularly wonderful: anniversaries such as 100 years of the annual fair, 50 years of the Londoner Club, and 50 years of the International Regulars Club Kitzbühel represent continuity and cohesion, while at the same time we are setting new standards with innovations in the areas of sports, culture, and cuisine. It is precisely this interplay of tradition and future that makes Kitzbühel so special.”

Highlights that inspire:

The Kitzbühel event calendar is well-known far beyond the region's borders and continues to develop year after year.

In addition to top-class tennis, the Kitzbühel tennis stadium offers an attractive program off the court during the summer. With selected events and concerts, the stadium transforms into an atmospheric stage, enriching the sporting experience with cultural highlights in a unique setting.

Originally built in 1526 as a farmhouse under the name "Rainerlehen," the house was converted into a bed and breakfast in the early 1950s. Today, the Rainhof is run by the third generation of the same family. Its traditional Tyrolean charm offers guests a welcoming home away from home during their stay.

50 Years of The Londoner:

Since 1976, The Londoner has been a fixture in Kitzbühel's nightlife. Founder Rik Gunnell brought a piece of British pub culture from London to Tyrol, creating a meeting place for locals and visitors alike. Since March 2020, David Jamieson has continued this legacy with great respect for the building's history. To this day, The Londoner delights with its familiar ambiance, legendary atmosphere, and live music from The Short and Curlies.

50 Years of the International Regulars Club:

For 50 years, the Kitzbühel Regulars Club has connected guests from all over the world with the town of Kitzbühel. Many of them have been returning regularly for decades – often several times a year, and now often with their children and grandchildren. Guests have become friends and ambassadors for the region. Kitzbühel's tourism pioneers recognized this extraordinary connection as early as 1976 and founded the 1st International Regulars Club Kitzbühel – still unique in this form today. To mark the 50th anniversary, an oversized commemorative pin for regulars has been installed in the Legends Park this year, serving as a reminder of this remarkable success story.

Regular pasta specials and occasional pizza days are planned.

the newly built, barrier-free terrace of the Reitherwirt restaurant in Reith offers the perfect place to relax in any weather, with 90 seats, two shady chestnut trees, and a retractable awning. The Reitherwirt's cuisine focuses on regional and seasonal dishes. Particularly popular are the game specialties from their own hunting grounds, fresh trout from their own pond, and beef and veal from their own farm.

Kaiser Snack:

Under new management, Kaiser Snack, located next to the cultural center in Reith near Kitzbühel, has established itself as a popular meeting place. Weekly changing menus and a diverse selection of dishes offer culinary variety. The iconic velvet and chrome ambiance has been carefully refined – with sophisticated drinks, a modern look, and the familiar atmosphere.

The KitzCard guest card will be expanded with a special highlight in summer 2026: In September and October, one free round trip per person per day on the Kitzbühel mountain lifts is included. This offer is valid from the first minute of your holiday during regular operating hours; special and evening rides are excluded. Bike transport is available for an additional fee of EUR 5.00 per trip. Kirchberg Bike Trail:

The new flow trail in Kirchberg further expands the existing trail network in the Kitzbühel region. The approximately ten-kilometer-long trail connects the Fleckalmbahn mountain station with the Gaisberg trail network, making it the longest flow trail in Tyrol. The route boasts an easy, family-friendly layout and features rollers, berms, natural sections, and scenic stretches. With an average gradient of 9.6%, the trail is suitable for both beginners and advanced riders. The opening is planned to coincide with the start of summer operations for the Fleckalmbahn.
