What’s new in Les Gets for summer 2026

Les Gets continues to strengthen its position as one of the Alps’ leading summer destinations, with a series of new developments for 2026 spanning mountain biking, events, accommodation and family-friendly activities. Alongside a packed events calendar, the resort is expanding its appeal beyond core riders to beginners, families and lifestyle travellers.

New for 2026: Mountain Biking Developments

Les Gets’ world-renowned bike park continues to evolve, with a clear focus on accessibility and progression.

A new beginner trail has been created at the top of the Chavannes sector, designed specifically to support riders in the early stages of learning. This is complemented by the installation of wooden features, aimed at building confidence and technical skills in a controlled environment.

With over 128km of marked trails, the resort is reinforcing its position not just as an elite mountain biking destination, but as a location where riders of all levels can develop.

New Event: Les Gets Cycling Grand Prix

A new addition to the summer calendar, the Les Gets Cycling Grand Prix (4–5 July 2026) expands the resort’s offer beyond mountain biking.

Open to road and gravel riders aged 12 and over, the event combines timed climbs and looped courses, with overall rankings based on cumulative time. It adds a new competitive format to the programme and broadens the appeal to a wider cycling audience.

Trail Running: New Format for 2026

The Trail des Gets by Rossignol (18–19 July 2026) introduces a new relay format for its Chéry Challenge. Teams of two will take on a vertical course over a four-hour period, adding a more accessible and social element to the event, alongside the existing individual race formats.

Family & Leisure: New Additions

The Lac des Écoles leisure area, a central hub for summer visitors, has been upgraded with new Wibit inflatable water modules and an updated course, enhancing its appeal for families.

The resort continues to develop its offer of easily accessible outdoor experiences, including walking routes, lake activities and panoramic viewpoints.

New Openings in the Village

Several new venues are opening for summer 2026, adding to the resort’s year-round appeal:

  • HOP – a hybrid concept combining daytime pottery workshops with an evening micro-pub serving craft beer

  • Le Boomerang Brewery – on-site brewing with beers produced using local water

  • La Cassetta – new casual Italian dining in the village centre

  • Hôtel Le Flocon d’Argent (3*) – new accommodation on the Chavannes plateau with direct access to hiking, biking and golf

  • La Fruitière des Neiges – a new central dairy and retail space showcasing regional produce

  • Culture: New Additions at the Mechanical Music Museum

  • The Museum of Mechanical Music, one of Les Gets’ flagship attractions, continues to expand its collection.

  • Recent additions now on display include a mechanical piano linked to Pablo Picasso and a historic 19th-century music box presented by the future King Edward VII, adding further depth to the museum’s offering.

Major Event: UCI Mountain Bike World Cup Returns

Les Gets will once again host the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup from 20–23 August 2026, featuring downhill, cross-country short track and Olympic cross-country events.

The event transforms the resort into a large-scale festival, with racing, brand activations and public access to competitions in the village centre.

Beyond new developments, Les Gets continues to build on key themes for summer tourism:

  • Expansion of beginner-friendly outdoor activities

  • Growth in family-focused infrastructure

  • Continued emphasis on sustainability and local production

  • Development of a year-round mountain offer, including wellness, culture and nature-based experiences
