Fun Pipe at Betterpark Hintertux Takes Shape

Halfpipe riding made easy? That’s exactly what’s becoming reality this May at Hintertux Glacier (Austria). With the new Fun Pipe at Betterpark Hintertux, an innovative pilot project is taking shape - rethinking the halfpipe to be more accessible, more playful, and open to everyone.

From May 1 to May 25, 2026, the Fun Pipe will be open daily at Betterpark Hintertux, welcoming all levels or riders, from first attempts to next-level trick progression. This is made possible by a new shape concept: with 3.5-meter walls, a length of 120 meters, and, most importantly, a rounder bottom, the pipe with an overall height of 4 meters delivers a noticeably smoother and more controlled riding experience. In other words, the Fun Pipe is the “blue run” of halfpipes. Mastermind Stefan Plattner is currently building the new halfpipe using the newly developed PistenBully 400 Park Winch and the Zaugg 13 ft Pipe Designer - a true premiere.

SAVE THE DATE - This May, Hintertux is all about community, progression, and riding together. The pipe will be freshly groomed every day, offering perfect conditions - whether you’re taking your first turns, working on new tricks, or simply enjoying a few pipe-runs with friends. Key highlights include the Opening Weekend on May 2 and the Closing Weekend on May 24, featuring various sessions in collaboration with “The Ästhetiker”.
