The Snow League Renews Deal with NBC Sports for its Second Season

The Snow League, the professional winter-sports circuit founded by three-time Olympic champion Shaun White, has renewed and expanded its media rights agreement with NBC Sports for its second season. The deal, announced on 27 August 2026, builds on an inaugural campaign that drew more than 8.1 million viewers across five NBC broadcasts in the United States, and it significantly increases the league's live and broadcast reach.

Shaun White's halfpipe circuit is expanding its media footprint, adding a second U.S. stop at Park City and streaming every event live on YouTube as well as Peacock.

More coverage, more events

The revamped agreement brings a substantial jump in exposure. Peacock's live coverage will grow to more than 50 hours across the season, and — for the first time — every event will also be live-streamed on The Snow League's YouTube channel, making the competitions available to fans around the world. NBC's broadcast network coverage will expand too, with encore presentations scheduled for each of the four events.

The schedule also gains a second U.S. stop. Park City Mountain in Utah makes its debut on the circuit, joining Buttermilk at Aspen Snowmass in Colorado as a domestic venue. Park City, which will host the 2034 Winter Olympics, has not staged a 22-foot halfpipe competition since hosting the world championships in 2019 — making its return to elite halfpipe competition a notable moment for the sport.

The Season Two calendar

The league's second season opens with a new international event before returning to North America and closing in Switzerland:

  • The Snow League World Challenge, Cardrona, New Zealand — live on 19 September 2026 via the league's YouTube channel, with an NBC encore on 27 December.

  • Buttermilk at Aspen Snowmass, Colorado — live 7–9 January 2027 on Peacock and YouTube, NBC encore on 17 January.

  • Park City Mountain, Utah — live 21–23 January 2027 on Peacock and YouTube, NBC encore on 24 January.

  • Season Two Championship Finale, LAAX, Switzerland — live 11–13 March 2027 on Peacock and YouTube, NBC championship encore on 27 March.

A growing league

The Snow League, launched in 2025 as the first professional winter-sports league dedicated exclusively to snowboarding and skiing, has positioned itself as a head-to-head, halfpipe-driven format that pits the world's best riders against each other in high-stakes competition. Its inaugural season was carried by NBC Sports and Peacock, with Marriott Bonvoy serving as the league's official hotel and loyalty partner.

The expansion of the NBC deal — including the addition of YouTube live streams and a second U.S. venue — reflects the league's ambition to grow its audience as it heads toward crowning its 2027 world champions in LAAX. For NBC, the renewed partnership extends a bet on a young, action-sports property that has already proven it can draw a seven-figure U.S. audience in its first season.
