AIRDRENALINE brings the FIS World Cup to Bergisel

AIRDRENALINE combines sporting competitions within the framework of the FIS Freeski and Snowboard World Cup with an internationally renowned musical program, including rap stars such as KIZ, Bonez MC & RAF Camora. Around 10,000 visitors per day are expected. The premiere of this new event will take place on November 27th and 28th at Bergisel.

As the opening event of the 2026/27 FIS World Cup season, AIRDRENALINE is expected to draw around 160 international athletes. On November 27, 2026, the first day of the event, freeski competitions will be held on the Bergisel for the first time. The second day will be dedicated entirely to the snowboard elite. A women's and a men's contest are planned in both disciplines. The first freeskiers and snowboarders competing on the Bergisel are expected to be announced in October. With AIRDRENALINE, Innsbruck joins stops such as Beijing (China), Laax (Switzerland), and Aspen (USA) on the global sporting event calendar.

The event was initiated by "Air & Style" founder Andrew Hourmont in close collaboration with Live Nation, a global live entertainment promoter. In addition to international sponsors, the State of Tyrol, the City of Innsbruck, and Innsbruck Tourism are on board as host city partners, contributing nearly a quarter of the expected total budget. Besides its sporting and international significance, AIRDRENALINE also provides a boost to the local economy with tangible economic benefits: 20,000 visitors – including numerous guests traveling specifically for the event – are expected for the freestyle spectacle at Bergisel.

Top-class music line-up

The sporting program is complemented by a top-class music lineup from the German-language hip-hop and rap scene. On Friday, November 27, 2026, KIZ will headline, and SSIO will provide the perfect soundtrack for the opening of AIRDRENALINE. With several number-one albums, including the 2024 release "Görlitzer Park," KIZ is one of the most successful and influential voices in the German rap scene.

On Saturday, November 28, 2026, two more giants of German-language rap, Bonez MC and RAF Camora, will share the stage. The duo shaped the German-language hip-hop scene with their "Palmen aus Plastik" series and set multiple streaming records. Bonez MC also holds the record for most number one hits in the Official German Hip-Hop Charts with 34 recent chart positions. The lineup on Saturday will be rounded out by German musician Badmómzjay.

With this, AIRDRENALINE brings artists to the stage on both days of the event who stand for energetic hip-hop, rap and an urban lifestyle.

“We want to reach precisely the scene and target groups that also shape freeskiing and snowboarding,” explains Lars-Oliver Vogt , President of Live Nation Brand Partnership & Media GSA. “The combination of snowboarding, freeskiing, music, and urban culture perfectly aligns with our ambition to create unforgettable and emotional moments. And if there’s one place in the world where a big air event belongs, it’s Innsbruck, and therefore the Bergisel. The city is considered the vibrant heart of the European snowboard and freeski scene – the foundation for this culture was laid here, and this is exactly where we want to continue the story. The Bergisel offers an exceptional stage for this – internationally renowned and yet deeply connected to Innsbruck.”

Consultant Andrew Hourmont invented the discipline of "Big Air" in Innsbruck in 1994. Today, he and the organizer pursue a clear vision for AIRDRENALINE: "We want to create an event that combines sport, music, and community, has an international scope, and is at the same time strongly rooted locally. This is also reflected in the collaboration with local partners and service providers – from naming and graphic design to on-site implementation, numerous creative minds from the Tyrolean creative and sports scene are involved."

The combination of the Big Air World Cup, live music, and urban community makes AIRDRENALINE a new meeting place for sports fans, music lovers, and a younger generation on November 27th and 28th, 2026. Conceived as a recurring event, it is also planned to continue in 2027. A live stream for both days is planned.

Day tickets are available from €79 for Friday and from €89 for Saturday. Two-day tickets start at €139. In addition, there will be a limited number of discounted tickets available for students, trainees, and school pupils. A VIP option is also available.
