7mesh Brings Its Design Standard to Ski Touring and Mountaineering With the Guardian Terra Collection
28/September/2026
7mesh is introducing the Guardian Terra Collection, the brand’s first dedicated outerwear designed for ski touring and mountaineering. The Guardian Terra Jacket and Guardian Terra Pant mark the next step in 7mesh’s expansion into mountain performance apparel, built for the demands of backcountry ski terrain.
7mesh’s approach to ski mountaineering gear comes from a different starting point than most brands. For over a decade, the brand has solved a narrow, difficult problem: apparel built for cycling that holds up under sustained aerobic output, fast changes in temperature, and no tolerance for extra bulk or restriction of movement. Skinning uphill for hours and pushing through a hard interval on the bike have more in common than most outerwear designers realized. Terra is the 7mesh team’s take on backcountry skiing through that lens.
“When we started 7mesh we introduced best-in-class technologies from outdoor, skiing, and climbing into cycling. Now a decade later we’re taking our best work back the other way,” said Tyler Jordan, CEO and 7mesh co-founder.
“With the Terra collection, we pushed our philosophy of creating layers for human-powered missions in the backcountry even further. We nearly doubled the durability and delivered all the features we wanted without unnecessary weight. The result is a jacket built with bomber GORE-TEX Pro fabrics that is still 25 percent lighter than the best-in-class competitors,” said Ian Martin, VP of product and co-founder of 7mesh.
