Valle Nevado Extends Record-Breaking 2026 Ski Season Through December 1

Valle Nevado is taking its record-breaking 2026 ski season all the way into December. Following more than 24 feet of snowfall this season and favorable late season conditions, the Chilean resort will extend skiing on select dates through December 1, bringing its season to a record 154 operating days.

The announcement follows Valle Nevado’s earlier extension through November 8 and continues an extraordinary winter in the Chilean Andes. The resort’s base elevation of 9,925 feet, combined with abundant snowfall, favorable temperatures and the work of its mountain operations teams, has helped preserve snow well beyond the resort’s traditional closing date.

“When we announced that we would extend the season through November 8, we were already making history. Today, we are taking another step forward and demonstrating the full potential of our mountain,” said Dominique Rudloff, General Manager of Valle Nevado.

“Reaching 154 operating days is possible not only because we received more than 24 feet of snowfall this winter, but also thanks to the hard work, commitment and capabilities of our teams,” Rudloff added. “We have a clear purpose: Give people the freedom to ski. This means making it possible for more and more people to come up to the mountain and enjoy the snow. That is why we work to keep operations running and extend the skiing experience for as long as possible.”

Following regular operations through November 8, Valle Nevado will reopen for skiing on select dates through December 1. Lifts will operate from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., allowing skiers and riders to take advantage of the best snow conditions during the cooler morning hours.

Extended-season operating dates include:

  • Friday, November 13 – Sunday, November 15

  • Friday, November 20 – Sunday, November 22

  • Friday, November 27 – Tuesday, December 1

Terrain and lift operations will be determined by conditions, and visitors are encouraged to follow mountain operations guidance and resort signage.

Other key milestones this season include the continued success of the connection between Valle Nevado and neighboring La Parva, with more than 45,000 skiers traveling between the two resorts on a shared lift ticket or season pass since 2025. Additionally, more than 25,000 children enjoyed free skiing through Valle Nevado’s benefit for children twelve and under, while the newly opened Aconcagua Ski Residences, the resort’s premium lodging offering, received an enthusiastic response in its inaugural season.

“Aconcagua Ski Residences received an excellent response in its first season, particularly among North American, Brazilian and Argentine skiers, who value the experience, spacious accommodations, privacy, tranquility, nature and personalized service that allow them to enjoy the mountain at their own pace,” Rudloff said.

With skiing now continuing into December, Valle Nevado brings an extraordinary winter in the Andes to a fitting close while setting a new benchmark for the resort’s longest season.
