Italian Ice Sports Federation AND RUDY PROJECT TOGETHER AGAIN: PARTNERSHIP EXTENDED THROUGH 2030

The Italian Ice Sports Federation (FISG) and Rudy Project are proud to announce the renewal of their partnership with the Italian Long Track and Short Track Speed Skating National Teams for the next Olympic cycle, through to the 2030 French Alps Winter Olympic Games.

The partnership between FISG and Rudy Project began in 2004, in preparation for the legendary Turin Olympic Games, and has since accompanied some of the most important chapters in Italian speed skating. It is a relationship built season after season through close collaboration with coaches and athletes, with the aim of providing the National Teams with solutions capable of meeting the demands of sport at the highest level.

Over the past two decades, with the support of Rudy Project, Italian ice athletes have won 30 Olympic medals (8 gold) across Long Track and Short Track, as well as 58 World Championship medals.

WORKING WITH THE NATIONAL TEAMS

During the new Olympic cycle, research and innovation will remain at the heart of the joint effort, with Rudy Project committed to developing and supplying solutions specifically designed for the Italian National Teams, supporting athletes on their journey towards major international competitions and, above all, the 2030 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

“We are delighted to continue a partnership that has become a point of reference for the Federation and for our Speed Skating National Teams,” said FISG President Andrea Gios. “For more than twenty years, Rudy Project has stood alongside our athletes, supporting different generations of champions and sharing a journey built on results, research and a constant focus on innovation. Sharing the same values and objectives is what makes this collaboration so strong and long-lasting: giving athletes the best possible conditions to express their talent and compete at the highest level. We are therefore proud to look ahead together to the next Olympic cycle, with the ambition of continuing to write important chapters in Italian sport.”

“The partnership with FISG is one of Rudy Project’s longest-standing partnerships. It has played a very important role in the growth of the brand in the world of ice sports. Rudy Project was among the first companies to introduce the use of time trial helmets in this field, bringing its expertise in aerodynamics and speed sports such as triathlon and track cycling. This know-how proved to be a perfect fit for speed skating, with the necessary adjustments to meet the relevant safety tests, allowing us to contribute to improved sporting performance. We are truly proud to support these exceptional athletes, who moved us with their medals at the latest Milano-Cortina Winter Olympics”, commented Cristiano Barbazza, CEO and President of Rudy Project.
