From Courchevel to the Dolomites, Travellers’ Tales unveils three stunning locations to experience the Alps this winter.
22/October/2026
Travellers’ Tales, the Marylebone bookshop and bespoke travel agency, has partnered with specialist ski travel company Leo Trippi to launch three bespoke itineraries for the 2026/27 ski season, bringing together exceptional Alpine properties, and privately arranged experiences both on and off the sloped.
Travellers’ Tales is a bookshop and travel studio in Marylebone, London, bringing together books, travel expertise and individually designed journeys. Its travel team creates bespoke itineraries shaped around each client, from private island escapes and cultural journeys to Alpine stays and once-in-a-lifetime adventures.
Les Trois Vallées in Style: Ultima Courchevel
Set in Courchevel Moriond, Ultima Courchevel offers a very private approach to one of the Alps’ most celebrated ski destinations. Guests ski from the Chalet directly onto the slopes with a private instructor, with routes chosen around the abilities and interests of the group.
The week’s stay may also include dog sledding over snow-covered trails, an afternoon exploring the mountains by snowmobile, long wonderful lunches at Courchevel’s mountain restaurants and time indulge in the resort’s boutiques of Louis Vuitton, Chanel and Dior.
At Ultima Courchevel, evenings move at a slower pace, with time together in the privacy of the chalet, with a heated indoor-outdoor pool, WHAT ELSE? Terraces?, cinema?
For skiers, who want to be on the mountain before anyone else, Ultima Courchevel can also arrange its First Tracks experience in partnership with ESF Courchevel Moriond, offering guests the opportunity, on selected mornings, to access the mountain before the lifts officially open to the public.
Best time to travel: December to April
Prices start from €9,099 per person for seven nights, based on eight guests travelling during low season.
Dolce Vita in the Dolomites: Aman Rosa Alpina
The second itinerary heads east to Alta Badia for a week at Aman Rosa Alpina, pairing skiing in the Dolomites with restorative afternoons in the Aman Spa.
Guests ski sections of the Sellaronda with a private instructor, spend time around Cinque Torri and Lagazuoi, and exchange the pistes for the boutiques and specialist shops of Cortina’s Corso Italia.
A private snowshoe tour offers a quieter way to explore the landscape, while a helicopter journey to Kronplatz can be arranged for a mountain lunch with views across the surrounding peaks.
Evenings bring the food of Alta Badia into focus, from Ladin cuisine to cheese fondue and Japanese shabu-shabu.
Best time to travel: December to March
Prices start from €17,000 per person based on two people staying, including luxury accommodation, private ski guiding, airport transfers and a selection of bespoke experiences. Helicopter excursions are available at an additional cost.
The Ultimate Chalet Experience – Ultima Gstaad Promenade, Switzerland
For groups looking for greater flexibility, Travellers’ Tales and Leo Trippi have created The Ultimate Chalet Experience, a seven-night stay at Ultima Gstaad Promenade, an exclusive private chalet in one of Switzerland’s most celebrated Alpine resorts, with every element of the itinerary tailored to the guests.
Ski equipment, lift passes, private lessons and transfers can be organised before arrival, leaving the first morning free for the mountain. Private guides can shape days on the slopes, while a chef creates menus around the group and a concierge takes care of restaurant reservations.
Après-ski can take place at home, with cocktails by the fire, private wine tastings or live music arranged in the chalet. Guests can also enjoy time away from the slopes, with spa treatments, entertainment and private childcare arranged as required.
The result is less a traditional ski holiday and more a private Alpine retreat, with the week built around how family and friends wish to experience Gstaad.
Prices start from €20,000, with Ultima Promenade Gstaad accommodating up to 20 guests (16 adults and four children). Final rates depend on group size, travel dates and bespoke experiences.
