Ahead of the winter season, a Les Gets founder offers mountain restaurants booking software they only pay for while they’re open

AlpineTable, a booking platform built in Les Gets for mountain and seasonal restaurants, bills restaurants only for the months they are open. Restaurants pay per active month or buy a winter or summer pass. When the lifts stop, billing pauses, but guests can still book ahead for the months the restaurant will be open.

AlpineTable was founded by Pedro Marques, who lives seasonally in Les Gets and has spent more than 20 years building software for merchants, including at Booking.com, Adyen and Shopify. The idea came from one question to a local restaurant: why don’t you take online bookings? The answer was that existing systems didn’t fit a business that opens for a few months at a time, with guests who arrive by chairlift and a terrace that empties when the weather turns.

It started with a simple question to a restaurant owner in the village: why don’t you take online bookings? The answer: the tools out there are built for restaurants that open all year, not for a place that closes between seasons, where guests arrive by chairlift and the terrace empties as soon as the weather turns bad.

"I’ve spent more than 20 years building software for merchants, including at Booking.com, Adyen and Shopify. With AlpineTable I set out to build a simple tool made for the restaurants here" Pedro Marques, Founder, AlpineTable

  • the restaurant pays only for the months it’s open, or takes a winter or summer pass; between seasons the subscription pauses, but guests can already book for next season

  • no fee per cover

  • bookings designed for the mountains: gear, lift access, a request for a table on the terrace

  • text confirmations and reminders in the guest’s own language, card guarantees against no-shows, and a waitlist

  • built-in AI that designs menus, flyers, posters and social media visuals

  • email campaigns to keep regulars coming back

“A small restaurant cannot afford software that takes too much, asks too much, or treats every business like a generic city venue. I built this because I love this community and wanted to solve a problem right in my backyard.”  added Pedro Marques,

Paying for the season, not the year

  • Active months from €39, €89 or €159 per month open (Core, Service, Growth), excluding VAT.

  • A Winter Pass covers five months from €179; a Summer Pass covers four months from €139.

  • Pause Mode between seasons costs €5 a month on Core and is included on Service and Growth.

  • Guests can book for next season while the restaurant is paused.

  • No fee per cover.

Built for service at altitude

  • Bookings can carry gear, lift-access and terrace details, so staff know before guests arrive.

  • Guests get a text confirmation and a reminder the day before, in their own language.

  • Card guarantees protect busy services from no-shows.

  • A waitlist texts the next party when a table frees up and holds it for 30 minutes.

  • Restaurants appear in a resort directory on alpinetable.com. Booking pages work in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Dutch.

Marketing with built-in AI

  • AI designs flyers, printed menus, posters, table cards and social media posts from a short description, ready to print or share.

  • A photo of the menu board becomes an online menu, with dishes and prices to check.

  • Email campaigns bring last season’s regulars back, sent only to guests who opted in.

  • Ahead of the winter season, Pedro Marques is onboarding a select list of restaurants in Les Gets and Morzine. AlpineTable is available now at alpinetable.com. Restaurants can sign up without a card.

AlpineTable is booking software for mountain and seasonal restaurants, based in Les Gets, France. It combines direct online bookings, guest messages, no-show protection and billing that follows the season.

Front Office, the app for front-of-house staff

Front Office is the app the floor team uses during service: seat guests, run the waitlist and walk-ins, and follow the dining room live. It works on a mobile phone and on a tablet.
