2026-27 U.S. Ski Jumping Team Announced
19/October/2026
U.S. Ski & Snowboard is proud to officially announce the athletes named to the 2026-27 Stifel U.S. Ski Jumping Team. All athletes qualified for the team based on existing criteria.
The 2026-27 team features a strong group of returning national team athletes who will continue building on the progress made in recent seasons. Following a milestone year that included World Cup advancement, Olympic experience and valuable international starts, the team enters the new season with momentum and a clear focus on continued growth.
On the women’s side, Josie Johnson moves up to the A Team after showing continued progress on the international circuit, including a top-10 World Cup finish, before suffering a knee injury at the 2026 Olympic Winter Games. She spent the summer rehabilitating and returning to full strength.
On the men’s side, Jason Colby, Kevin Bickner and Tate Frantz headline the roster. Colby enters the season following a standout win in Râșnov in the FIS Summer Grand Prix, while Bickner continues to bring veteran leadership to the team. Frantz enters the season as one of the team’s top international competitors after multiple strong years on the World Cup circuit.
The season begins in Lillehammer, Norway, in late November and features a World Cup stop in the United States in February, the Stifel Lake Placid Ski Jumping Cup, before the World Championship kickoff in Falun, Sweden.
“This group reflects the standard our athletes have continued to build over the past few seasons,” said Anders Johnson, Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined Sport Director. “We have returning athletes who have gained real experience on the World Cup circuit and at the Olympic Winter Games, and athletes who continue to push the level of the program forward. We’re looking forward to supporting them as they take on a World Championship season.”
