Swiss skiers meet in Dübendorf for Swiss-Ski's promotional week and Ski Pool handover day.

Swiss Alpine and Nordic skiers met in Dübendorf for Swiss-Ski's promotional week and the traditional Swiss Ski Pool handover day. In addition to the distribution of equipment and materials for the upcoming World Championship season, the program included numerous media appointments as well as photo and video shoots for sponsors, partners, and internal purposes.

On the day of delivery, the Swiss Ski Pool provided a total of 350 people with the new team clothing for the 2026/27 World Cup winter: athletes, coaches, other staff members and officials from the areas of alpine skiing and Nordic skiing (cross-country skiing, Nordic combined, ski jumping and biathlon).

The alpine athletes received thermal clothing from Descente, gloves and headwear from Reusch, fashionable apparel from Bayard, and functional underwear and socks from X-Bionic. The Nordic athletes were outfitted with new team clothing and race suits from Odlo, and also received fashionable apparel from Bayard and gloves from Roeckl. All athletes, both alpine and Nordic, also received winter boots from On.

In total, equipment worth approximately 2.5 million Swiss francs was distributed at The Hall in Dübendorf. More than 30 equipment suppliers were represented at the event. "It's always a special and proud moment to be able to hand over the top-quality equipment our athletes need before the start of the season. A huge thank you therefore goes to our suppliers for their tremendous commitment and trust," said Silvan Nideröst, Head of Equipment at Swiss-Ski and Managing Director of the Swiss Ski Pool. At the internal information event, he highlighted the now 40-year successful collaboration with Reusch as an example of the many long-standing partnerships with various suppliers.

The Swiss-Ski leadership, including President Peter Barandun, Walter Reusser (Co-CEO Sport), and Diego Züger (Co-CEO Commercial), used the submission day to personally wish the nearly 200 national team athletes from the disciplines of alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, Nordic combined, ski jumping, and biathlon all the best for the upcoming season. For the alpine skiers, the season holds a very special highlight with the home World Championships in Crans-Montana at the beginning of February.

Embedded in advertising week

The traditional Swiss Ski Pool submission day took place on the second day of Swiss-Ski's promotional week. During this week, shortly before the start of the season, film and photo shoots of the athletes and their support staff are conducted. At various photo and video stations, shots were produced for autograph cards, celebratory graphics, FIS athlete portraits, the Swiss-Ski Store, and World Cup teasers, among other things. The federation's partners, especially main partner Sunrise and premium partners Raiffeisen, Helvetia, and BKW, also took advantage of the opportunity for promotional photos with the athletes.

Three and a half weeks before the start of the new World Cup season in Sölden, media representatives were also given the opportunity on various dates to talk to the alpine athletes and the coaching team and to ask questions about the preparation and the upcoming competition winter.
