Summer 2026 at Killington Resort Features Action-Packed Events Schedule
20/May/2026
Vermont’s Killington Resort, the largest ski and mountain bike destination in Eastern North America, is gearing up for a packed summer 2026 season featuring signature events, weekly traditions, mountain competitions, concerts, and family-friendly experiences from Memorial Day weekend through the fall.
From the return of the Beast 365 Challenge and Total Archery Challenge over Memorial Day Weekend to Cirque Series, Play for Your Freedom, Cooler in the Mountains, and major mountain biking events, this season’s calendar reflects Killington’s continued evolution as a true year-round destination.
“The action doesn’t stop at The Beast once we’re done with skiing & riding,” says Mike Sutcliffe, Events & Sponsorship Manager at Killington Resort. “We’re proud to offer events for a wide variety of interests, from mountain biking and trail running to golfing and wine sampling. Stay tuned for more info as we approach the 30th anniversary of our Killington Brewfest, which will debut additional family-friendly activities.”
The season kicks off Memorial Day Weekend, when Killington aims to once again host the Beast 365 Challenge (conditions permitting), a multi-sport weekend built around skiing and riding, mountain biking, and golf. At neighboring Pico Mountain, the Total Archery Challenge returns May 22nd-24th, bringing one of the most unique outdoor event experiences in the country back to the region.
Killington will welcome back Cirque Series for the second time on Saturday, June 27th, the mountain running series featuring a scenic, wide-ranging course, live music, a vendor village, and more. Play for Your Freedom, our veteran and active service member appreciation event, will also return for a third season, featuring a day full of free activities for all military members as well as their families. Upcoming community events that Killington Resort will sponsor include the Vermont Corporate Cup Challenge & State Agency 5K in Montpelier, VT on May 14th, the Girls on the Run 5K in Manchester, VT on June 6th, and the Rutland Country Pride Festival on June 20th.
Weekly traditions also remain a key part of summer at The Beast. The KMBC Bike Bum Race Series returns on Wednesdays from July 1st through August 19th, the Michelob ULTRA Golf League returns on Thursdays from June 11th through August 27th, and the free Cooler in the Mountains concert series, presented by Kona Big Wave, returns on Saturdays from July 4th through September 5th, with more information to follow on each week’s musical artists.
In addition to events, Killington continues to expand and improve the overall guest experience. This summer will feature new attractions in the Adventure Center as well as ongoing capital improvement projects across the resort, including snowmaking pipeline replacements at Bear Mountain, the replacement of the Snowdon Triple with a new Doppelmayr fixed-grip quad, and preliminary construction in the Needles Eye area around our reimagining of the Jerk Jamaican Mountain Grill.
Summer activities begin soon at Killington Resort. The Killington Golf Course opens Friday, May 15th, the Bike Park opens Friday, May 22nd, the Adventure Center opens Saturday, May 23rd, and scenic rides on the K-1 Gondola begin Friday, July 3rd.
