Dynafit Signals Renewal with Four-Athlete Expansion of its Squad Race Team

Dynafit has announced a significant expansion of its Squad Race Team for the 2026 season, adding four new athletes as part of a broader strategy to refresh and strengthen its competitive roster.

Clara Carste, Michael Brunner, Johannes Dörr, and Suman Kulung join the mountain sports equipment manufacturer’s elite lineup, each bringing a distinct background that reflects Dynafit’s emphasis on both grassroots development and international performance.

Two of the new recruits, Carste and Brunner, emerged through Dynafit’s own Trailhero development program, underlining the company’s commitment to nurturing talent internally. Carste has already delivered standout results, including a fastest known time on the Watzmann traverse in 2024 and a second-place finish at the 2025 Rosengarten Schlern Skymarathon. Speaking about her selection, she said the team provides “a sense of belonging and additional motivation.”

Johannes Dörr secured his place through outright performance, earning selection after a breakthrough victory at the 2025 Innsbruck Alpine Trailrun Festival. Competing in his debut at the event, Dörr set a new course record over the demanding 111.2-kilometre distance. He now sets his sights on qualifying for the OCC race at UTMB and competing at the European Championships in 2026.

Suman Kulung’s path to the team marks one of the most compelling stories within the new intake. Originally from Nepal, Kulung worked as a porter before relocating to Austria in 2024, where he has since trained and developed with support from the Dr. Sigrid Schwarzenbacher Foundation. His rapid rise in the sport was highlighted by a second-place finish at the Istria 100, signaling his arrival on the international trail running stage.

With this latest intake, Dynafit continues to blend emerging talent with proven performers, positioning its Squad Race Team for a competitive 2026 season across Europe’s premier trail and mountain running events.
