Austrian Ski Federation (ÖSV) squad of 350 athletes announced

A total of 350 athletes from eleven different disciplines have been nominated to the Austrian Ski Federation (ÖSV) squads for the upcoming winter season. In addition to 212 men, 138 women are included in the squads (National Team, A-Squad, B-Squad, and C-Squad). Alpine skiing is the largest discipline with 94 athletes (52 men/42 women). This is followed by ski jumping (40), biathlon (38), snowboarding (35), and Nordic combined (32).

“The official announcement of the squads is like the starting signal for the new season. After the Olympic Games, some of our successful athletes ended their careers – a perfectly natural step in competitive sports. With the new squad structure, however, we are presenting a balanced mix of experienced performers and promising young talents. I am convinced that we will celebrate numerous successes with this team in the upcoming World Championship season,” emphasizes ÖSV Sports Director Mario Stecher .

An overview of all Austrian Ski Federation (ÖSV) squads:

A total of 58 athletes were selected for the Austrian Ski Federation (ÖSV) squad for the first time. The youngest member of the ÖSV team is 15-year-old ski jumper Amy Dögl, while snowboarder Claudia Riegler, at 52, is the most experienced athlete in the squad.
