From May 13th to 16th, 2026, Zell am See-Kaprun will host a unique event: the Ski&Golf World Championship 2026.

What happens when two seemingly contrasting sports collide? When rapid turns in the snow seamlessly transition into precise drives on the green? The answer lies in the Ski&Golf World Championships, taking place from May 13th to 16th, 2026 in Zell am See-Kaprun – demonstrating once again just how diverse sports can be in the Alps.

The sporting event kicks off on the Kitzsteinhorn. At an altitude of over 3,000 meters, participants compete in a challenging giant slalom. Here, technique, speed, and endurance are equally important – all against the backdrop of the glacier, whose wide slopes and breathtaking views make winter sports enthusiasts' hearts beat faster from autumn well into spring.

From the snow-covered slopes, the action moves down into the valley – and into a completely different world: On the 36-hole Leading Golf Course Zell am See-Kaprun, participants battle for victory on the green over two tournament days. Surrounded by imposing mountain panoramas and with a view of the Kitzsteinhorn, precision, strategy, and nerves of steel are paramount.

The program in detail:

  • Wednesday, May 13, 2026 : Arrival Day & Welcome

  • Thursday, May 14, 2026 : Ski competition | Giant slalom in the Kitzsteinhorn glacier ski area – Glacier slope 3

Amateurs who are members of a full member club affiliated with the Austrian Golf Association (ÖGV) or a foreign national federation and have a World Handicap Index of 18 or less, as well as teaching and playing professionals, are eligible to participate. Skiers should be able to handle a giant slalom course well.
