Wyssen: New Hall D – An important step into the future
22/June/2026
Much has changed at Wyssen in recent years: With new, innovative products and the development of additional markets, the company has continued to grow, and with it, the demands on production, assembly, and logistics. To ensure we can continue to offer our customers the highest quality, short delivery times, and optimized processes, construction of a new assembly and storage hall began in early October 2025.
Why a new hall? A look behind the scenes:
With every innovation, the demands on our infrastructure also increase. New products such as IDA®, LIA®, GINA®, the mini avalanche blasting mast, or the Wyssen LS24 avalanche blasting mast, as well as the latest developments in Wyssen cable car products, sometimes bring with them special assembly conditions or different technical requirements. At the same time, the existing halls are reaching their capacity limits – in production, storage, and process optimization.
The new Hall D will start right here:
More space for efficient processes, enabling optimal organization of assembly and warehousing.
Improved production conditions for modern products requiring special environments or equipment.
Greater flexibility to continue responding quickly to increasing demand.
A key component of the project is the reorganization of production and storage areas: The warehousing and production lines of Wyssen Seilbahnen AG and Wyssen Defence will be relocated to the new Hall D. This will free up additional space in Hall C, which will particularly benefit Wyssen Avalanche Control AG – resulting in greater efficiency, increased capacity, and optimal conditions for new developments. At the same time, the expansion lays the foundation for future technologies and business areas such as robotics. Previous space constraints hampered these developments; now, a flexible framework for the future is being created.
Growth for the coming years
The planned expansion will not only increase infrastructure but also expand the team. Particularly in the areas of assembly, mechanics, sales, and software development, more skilled workers will be needed in the coming years to optimally meet rising demand and new technologies. With this move, Wyssen is consciously investing in the future of the site and creating attractive jobs in the region.
