Arc’teryx to open its first retail store in Copenhagen, Denmark,

Canadian high-performance outdoor brand Arc’teryx is set to make its retail debut in Denmark next month with the opening of its first brand store in Copenhagen. The launch is part of an aggressive global expansion strategy, with the company aiming to open 25 to 30 new retail locations this year alone.

Located in the heart of the city at Pilestræde 16, the expansive 443-square-meter (4,800-square-foot) space will span two floors. In addition to showcasing the brand's full range of technical apparel and equipment, the flagship will feature a dedicated ReBird Service Center. The center will offer customers free product repairs, washing, and technical maintenance services to promote circularity and gear longevity.

“Copenhagen is a world-renowned architecture and design hub, home to an authentic outdoor community that deeply values performance,” said Tobia Prevedello, General Manager EMEA for Arc’teryx, in an official statement. “With our first brand store in Denmark, we are creating a hub to connect directly with this community. Our mission is to support our guests year-round — not only with our highest-level technical gear, but through community-led activities and our ReBird Service Center to extend the life of their products and enhance their outdoor pursuits.”

Designing for Community and Circularity

The new Copenhagen location is designed to be more than just a retail shop; it aims to serve as a gathering space for Danish outdoor enthusiasts. The store will incorporate a dedicated community area built specifically to host local events, outdoor film screenings, and technical workshops. To help locals plan their next adventures, the space will also feature a customized local map highlighting the top destinations for climbing, hiking, and trail running in and around the Copenhagen area.

A Steep Growth Trajectory

The Denmark opening marks a significant step in the long-term growth plans outlined by Arc’teryx’s parent company, Amer Sports.

During an Investor Day presentation last November, executives revealed a highly ambitious retail roadmap. The company plans to double its global retail presence over the next few years, scaling up from approximately 150 stores to around 300 locations globally by 2030.

By establishing a physical flagship in Denmark, Arc’teryx is positioning itself directly within Scandinavia's active, design-conscious market as it continues its rapid climb into premium global retail hubs.
