Stevens Pass Highlights Summer Fun
17/July/2026
At Stevens Pass, summer is built around movement. Located along Washington’s iconic Cascade Loop Scenic Byway, guests can ride lift-served downhill bike trails, hike through the North Cascades, play alpine disc golf, camp overnight in the RV lot, or take in sweeping mountain views from a scenic chairlift ride, all in one place.
Centered around Hogsback Express, Stevens offers an approachable alpine experience with progression-focused bike terrain, an opportunity to hike a portion of the Pacific Crest Trail, and an 18-hole disc golf course that winds from the top of the mountain back to the base area. The RV lot adds a distinctly Pacific Northwest feel, giving guests the chance to wake up steps from bike laps, hiking trails, mountain dining, and community-driven summer events and activations.
Whether you're chasing downhill laps, exploring wildflower-lined trails, or simply looking for a mountain escape outside Seattle, Stevens Pass delivers a laid-back Cascades summer experience built around adventure, community, and access to the outdoors.
While winter may still be months away, having your 2026/27 Epic Pass makes summer even better too, with free scenic chairlift rides, exclusive summer savings, and a chance to start celebrating Stevens Pass’ upcoming 90th anniversary season in the mountains.

YOUR BIKE PARK, YOUR WAY
Stevens Pass Bike Park continues gaining momentum as one of the Pacific Northwest’s most approachable lift-served downhill bike parks. Designed around progression and accessibility, the park combines freeride and technical terrain, beginner-to-expert trail progression, park and skill features throughout the mountain, and chairlift-served access into a bike experience that welcomes first-timers while still keeping advanced riders coming back for more.
Returning as one of the Pacific Northwest downhill community’s favorite race weekends, NW Cup Finals returns to Stevens Pass September 18-20, bringing elite riders, passionate fans, and high-energy competition back to the mountain. In 2025, the event welcomed roughly 500 athletes and reestablished Stevens back into a major hub for regional downhill culture, with spectators lining trails and riders taking over the bike park all weekend long.
WHERE THE PACIFIC CREST TRAIL MEETS LIFT-SERVED ADVENTURE
At Stevens Pass, guests can step directly onto one of the most iconic trails in North America without needing to commit to a thru-hike. The Pacific Crest Trail runs directly through Stevens Pass, making it one of the most accessible entry points to the legendary route anywhere in Washington.
Visitors can catch a scenic chairlift ride on Hogsback Express before hiking the resort’s signature 2.5-mile Nature Trail through alpine meadows, talus slopes, wildflowers, and forest before connecting to the PCT itself. From there, hikers can continue toward scenic destinations like Josephine Lake, Skyline Lake, Lake Valhalla, and Nason Ridge.
HIGHWAY 2’S MOST SCENIC SUMMER STOP
Stevens Pass sits at the center of one of Washington’s most iconic summer corridors and along the renowned Cascade Loop Scenic Byway, a road trip route that connects mountain towns, alpine landscapes, waterways, and outdoor recreation across the state. Positioned along Highway 2 between Seattle and Leavenworth, Stevens naturally connects visitors to road trip culture, alpine recreation, and small mountain communities throughout the Cascades.
Stevens increasingly serves as the “basecamp stop” within a broader Cascades itinerary. Guests can ride downhill trails in the morning, hike alpine ridgelines in the afternoon, then continue east toward Leavenworth for breweries, river access, farmers markets, and Bavarian-inspired mountain town culture.
90 YEARS OF STEVENS PASS
This winter, Stevens Pass will celebrate 90 years of skiing and riding in the Cascades, marking nearly a century of mountain culture, community, and adventure in the Pacific Northwest. Throughout the summer, guests may begin to see early nods to the milestone through storytelling, local legends, throwback moments, and the people who continue shaping the spirit of Stevens Pass today.
