"Ennstal-Classic" vintage car rally will take place again in the Austrian tourism region of Schladming-Dachstein

The Styrian holiday region of Schladming-Dachstein will once again become a meeting place for classic cars and their fans this summer:

  • The legendary classic car rally will take place from July 22nd to 25th, marking its 34th edition

  • Around 200 historic vehicles built before 1972 are expected in the Styrian tourism region of Schladming-Dachstein.

  • Over 40 special stages, closed mountain passes, and a detour to the Red Bull Ring characterize the approximately 1,000-kilometer route.

  • Personalities from sports, entertainment, and the culinary world will join the international field of participants.

From Wednesday to Saturday (July 22-25), the 34th edition of the "Ennstal-Classic" will take place. For more than three decades, the event has been one of Europe's most dazzling summer events and attracts enthusiasts far beyond the classic car scene. For four days, around 200 historic vehicles built before 1972 will participate in a regularity rally covering approximately 1,000 kilometers. This year, numerous well-known participants will also be taking part, including actor Tobias Moretti, motorsport driver Mathias Walkner, and ski racer Thomas Dreßen.

What distinguishes the Ennstal-Classic from many other rallies is its uncompromising, authentic character. The rally is run exclusively with purely mechanical time and distance counters, entirely without electronic aids. More than 40 special stages demand the utmost precision from drivers and their co-drivers as they navigate countless meters of elevation gain on specially closed mountain roads. The motto is: "Driving in the last paradise" – on endless, deserted roads amidst a magnificent natural backdrop. A particular highlight is the drive on the Formula 1 circuit of the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg. The grand finale is the Porsche Design Grand Prix on Saturday.

As always, the field of participants brings together personalities from a wide range of backgrounds. Among them are actor and motorsport enthusiast Tobias Moretti, the first Austrian Dakar Rally winner on a motorcycle, Mathias Walkner, five-time downhill World Cup winner Thomas Dreßen, and former ski racer and TV expert Hans Knauß. Along the route, fans can expect a diverse supporting program with finish line checkpoints, checkpoints, and musical entertainment. Refreshment stations along the way ensure everyone is well fed and watered. After the day's sporting events, the evenings conclude with four top-class all-inclusive events.

Starting Wednesday, the popular Classic Nights will take place again in Gröbming. All program information is available online at www.ennstal-classic.at .
