Change at the top of the board of directors at Lech Bergbahnen AG

Following the successful completion of the merger and integration process, Lech Bergbahnen AG is undergoing a change at the top of its management board: Klaus Nußbaumer wishes to pursue new challenges and will hand over his position to Christian Röhrig, previously authorized signatory and head of administration, on June 30, 2026. This step was taken in agreement with the supervisory board.

Setting the course for the future

In 2023, the merger of Lech Ing. Bildstein GmbH ski lifts, Rüfikopf Seilbahn AG, and Rud-Alpe GmbH to form Lech Bergbahnen AG marked a significant milestone for upcoming investments and future developments. Klaus Nußbaumer assumed leadership of the new company two and a half years ago and played a key role in its development. In addition to organizational development, particularly regarding human resources and establishing a shared corporate culture, he was responsible for the strategic realignment. The master plans developed for the modernization of the mountain lifts and snowmaking systems, as well as for the summer season, provide the framework for targeted investments in technical infrastructure and the expansion and enhancement of guest offerings. These contribute significantly to positioning Lech Bergbahnen AG as a leading company in the Arlberg region. "Klaus Nußbaumer took on responsibility at a crucial juncture and built Lech Bergbahnen AG with great dedication after the merger. He thus laid the foundation for the company's continued success," summarizes Supervisory Board Chairman Christoph Pfefferkorn.

Christian Röhrig brings everything needed for his new role: Born in Bregenz, he has been connected to Lech am Arlberg since childhood – he knows the ski resort inside and out, having worked there as a ski instructor during his student days. After studying sports management at the University of Innsbruck, he gained experience in the cable car industry in Montafon and joined the company 15 years ago. The 45-year-old oversaw the restructuring process and, following the merger, assumed power of attorney and management responsibilities.
