Bolton Valley Resort Announces Leadership Transition Ahead of 60th Season

Bolton Valley Resort in Vermont is restructuring its leadership team, with longtime president and CEO Lindsay DesLauriers moving into a new role as chair of the board while taking on a broader strategic leadership position within the company.

Tara Murphy has stepped in as the resort's new president and CEO, Evan DesLauriers has been named vice president, and Nick Lemire was promoted to general manager back in May.

A New Chapter for Ownership

As board chair, Lindsay DesLauriers will focus on identifying new opportunities for the resort and guiding major development projects, while working to preserve the community-oriented values her father, Ralph DesLauriers, built into Bolton Valley when he founded it nearly 60 years ago.

Murphy brings more than 30 years of executive leadership experience in Vermont business to her new role and had already been serving as a business consultant to Bolton Valley for over a year prior to her appointment. In his expanded role, Evan DesLauriers will continue overseeing resort operations, strategic initiatives, and long-term planning.

Lindsay DesLauriers said she has long admired Murphy and considers the resort fortunate to bring in someone of her experience, adding that she's especially glad to see her brother Evan take on a bigger leadership role at the same time. She described feeling "overflowing with gratitude" heading into this next stage alongside Murphy, Evan, and Lemire.

Murphy said she's honored by the trust the DesLauriers family has placed in her and is looking forward to working alongside the team as the resort continues investing in its future while protecting the culture that makes it distinct. Evan DesLauriers said the changes leave the resort well positioned for what's ahead, and that he's looking forward to heading into Bolton's 60th season with this leadership group.

Nordic Peaks: A New Neighborhood Takes Shape

Among Lindsay DesLauriers' first major initiatives in her new role will be Nordic Peaks, Bolton Valley's first new construction project in more than 30 years. The development will add 32 condominiums and townhomes to the resort, expanding slopeside housing options and supporting the resort's long-term plans for sustainable growth.
