Association of South Tyrolean Cable Car Operators: Helmut Sartori confirmed as President

In its first meeting following the annual general assembly, the board of the South Tyrolean Cable Car Operators Association elected its president for the next four years. The association confirmed Helmut Sartori (Seiser Alm Cable Car), who has held the office since 2016, as president. Egon Seebacher (Schnalstal Glacier Cable Car) was re-elected as vice president.

In addition to Sartori and Seebacher, the board also includes the following members: Christian Scartezzini (Gitschberg Jochtal AG), Paul Eisendle (Neue Rosskopf GmbH), Andy Varallo (Skicarosello Corvara), Hannes Kneissl (Bergbahnen Pfelders GmbH), Benjamin Kirchmaier (Obereggen Latemar AG), Andreas Schenk (Coldereiser GmbH), Mark Winkler (3 Zinnen AG), and Andreas Dorfmann (Kronplatz Seilbahn GmbH). Florian Eisath (Latemar Karersee GmbH) and Michael Ausserhofer (Klausberg Seilbahn AG) were appointed as auditors. Oskar Malfertheiner is the chairman of the auditors' committee.

“The challenges facing the industry are manifold: they range from climate change and the need to diversify offerings to extending the season. The Association of Cable Car Operators will address these and other issues together in the new term. I thank the board for the trust they have placed in me,” explains Helmut Sartori, the re-elected president of the Association of Cable Car Operators.

“Our member companies take the challenges of climate change very seriously. For some time now, they have been investing in new solutions to minimize environmental impact and conserve natural resources. A protected and intact environment is the most important calling card for our industry and crucial for ensuring the sustainable and long-term success of cable car operators. It is in our best interest to preserve it to the best of our ability,” emphasizes Sartori.

Another focus in the coming years will be extending the season and diversifying the offerings. "Winter remains a key season for cable car operators. At the same time, the summer season is gaining increasing importance. Our goal is to further enhance the appeal of the summer months through new offerings and activities," adds Sartori.

In conclusion, Sartori summarized the past winter season and offered an initial outlook for summer 2026: “The 2025/2026 winter season was generally positive. This is primarily due to the innovative strength of our member companies, who continuously invest in modern facilities and technologies to combine efficiency and environmental protection. The summer season also appears to have gotten off to a promising start. Ultimately, the future of the industry depends on its continued development. This requires a legal framework that meets the demands of our time,” Sartori concluded.
