Anta Sports Reports Slower Retail Growth for Core Brand in Second Quarter
21/July/2026
Anta Sports Products, Ltd., which operates retail stores across China for the Anta brand along with Fila, Descente, Kolon Sport, and Amer Sports, reported that second-quarter retail sales for its namesake Anta brand grew in the low single digits year over year, in terms of retail value.
The result marks a slowdown from the first quarter, when Anta brand retail sales climbed in the high single digits.
Fila's retail sales in China followed a similar pattern, rising in the low single digits in the second quarter after posting low-teens growth in the first quarter.
The company's "All Other Brands" segment — which includes Descente and Kolon Sport but excludes Amer Sports Corp. businesses held under Amer Sports Holding (Cayman) Ltd.'s joint venture — fared considerably better, with retail sales growth in the range of 25 to 30 percent compared with the same period in 2025. That growth also cooled from the first quarter, when the segment posted gains of 40 to 45 percent.
Anta Sports said its retail sales figures reflect revenue, inclusive of value-added tax where applicable, generated from consumer sales across both brick-and-mortar stores and e-commerce platforms. Some of those retail channels are owned and operated directly by the company, while others are run by its distributors, franchisees, or franchisees of its distributors.
