69th Wildschönau Valley Festival will take place in Niederau from August 6th to 9th.

The 69th Wildschönau Valley Festival will take place in Niederau from August 6th to 9th. This year's festival is organized by the Niederau Brass Band, which invites visitors to four days full of music, traditions, and conviviality.

The festivities kick off on Thursday with the tapping of the first keg of beer and a celebratory concert by the Niederau Brass Band. On the following two evenings, various musical groups will provide entertainment in the festival tent.

The highlight of the weekend is traditionally Sunday. After the church service and the morning gathering, the grand traditional parade, themed "The Great Wildschönau Wedding," starts at 1:30 p.m. Around 500 participants parade through Niederau. Brass bands, riflemen, carnival revelers, clubs, and festively decorated floats showcase the diversity of Wildschönau's customs and bring old traditions back to life.

Afterwards, the valley festival concludes with a relaxed musical afternoon in the festival tent.

The Wildschönau Valley Festival is organized each year by a different brass band in the valley and has been one of the region's largest traditional events for many years. For many locals and visitors, it's a fixed date in their summer calendar.

During the valley festival, a free shuttle bus runs between Niederau, Oberau and Auffach.
