25 years of “Lang & Klang” in St. Johann in Tirol
07/July/2026
For 25 years now, the town center of St. Johann in Tirol has been transformed every Wednesday during the summer months into a large promenade with live music, performers, and the popular children's play street for the youngest visitors. For this anniversary summer, the organizers from the tourism association have come up with a very special program!
The event will open and close with the big folk music special "Aufgspuit in St. Johann".
Following the resounding success of last year's special edition of Lang & Klang, visitors can look forward to two "Lang & Klang" evenings this year under the motto "Aufgspuit in St. Johann" (Playing in St. Johann). At the largest folk music gathering in the Tyrolean lowlands, eight different folk music groups will meet on July 1st and September 2nd to fill the town center with their music. Among them are well-known groups such as the Postwirtmusi, the Koasa Combo, the Tegernseer Tanzlmusi, as well as Franz Posch and the Innbrüggler, the Panzlmusi, and the Heistodlmusig.
From rock to Austrian pop
On the other evenings, top-class acts await visitors. For example, "Simply Tina"—one of the most famous Tina Turner cover bands—will create a fantastic atmosphere with a spectacular tribute show, while on another evening, "Queen Sensation" will bring rock legend Freddie Mercury back to life. A special highlight awaits visitors in August with "Fredy & die Schlaghosen," who will create a party atmosphere with a retro feel, performing the biggest hits from the 70s and 80s. Also in August, the popular "Night Shopping" will take place again until 9 p.m. in many shops in the St. Johann town center.
