Project overview
Efficient management of up to 1.7 million skier days in winter and 800,000 summer visitors.
Barrier-free access for skiers, cyclists, families and people with special mobility needs thanks to SKIDATA's sMove technology.
Future-proof with real-time data monitoring for smooth, efficient operation.
The Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis mountain railways have been working with SKIDATA for years to manage access, payments, partner integrations, and more. They record over 1.7 million ski days in winter and 800,000 summer visitors annually. SKIDATA's solutions have proven reliable during this time.
Serfaus became the first mountain destination to utilize sMove technology in both winter and summer operations. This new access gate has made processes even smoother. Skiers in winter and families in summer appreciated the faster and easier access. With sMove, visitors experienced quicker, barrier-free entry, further improving the resort's already efficient operations.
During the winter season, the 'sMove' gates ensure smooth access to many of the 60 lifts, minimizing waiting times and maximizing throughput on 210 kilometers of slopes. This reduces congestion and enhances the guest experience. The wider gates also facilitate access for those with additional equipment such as snowboards, sleds, or children's ski gear, reinforcing the resort's image as a premier destination for family-friendly winter holidays.
In summer, the sMove gate system easily adapts to the diverse needs of visitors, whether mountain bikers with their extensive equipment, guests with limited mobility, or families with strollers. The barrier-free design allows for unimpeded access and ensures that all guests can fully enjoy the mountain experience. For resort managers, this scalability offers a future-proof solution that increases both operational efficiency and guest satisfaction year-round.
“We are always looking for ways to remove barriers for our guests. With SKIDATA’s solutions, we have succeeded in creating a more accessible, intuitive experience – one that works just as well for skiers in winter as it does for bikers or families in summer.” Christof Schalber, CEO, Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis Mountain Lifts
