Lenzerheide mountain railways take over Autschli

The Autschli story began in 2009 in Lenzerheide with Barbara Laim of La Palausa AG, with the birth of the first cherry stone bear. In 2017, the Autschli concept was nominated for the Swiss Marketing Trophy, and in the same year, the Autschli Trail from Scharmoin to Lenzerheide opened. Since then, Autschli has become a popular holiday companion for young and old. What started as a small passion project has become a success story, now ready for its next chapter.

Lenzerheide Bergbahnen AG is acquiring the Autschli brand rights and will continue the popular family offering. This includes the themed trail for families, the online shop, and the production of the well-known Autschli cherry stone bears.

One key principle remains unchanged: the production of the Autschlis will continue to take place in Graubünden. This will now be done in cooperation with the ARGO Foundation for the Integration of People with Disabilities in Graubünden.

Focus on social value:

Through their partnership with ARGO, the Lenzerheide mountain railways combine tourism development with social responsibility. The production of the Autschlis takes place in ARGO's workshops, where people with disabilities find sheltered and meaningful employment.

This creates multiple added values: “With Autschli, we are continuing an established passion project to inspire children and families on the mountain – and at the same time developing it further with a clear focus on regionality and social responsibility,” says Reto Aeschbacher, CEO of Lenzerheide Bergbahnen AG.

Regionality and experience combined:

The integration of Autschli strengthens Lenzerheide's family offerings. The themed trail remains an important part of the summer experience and will be continuously developed. Complemented by the online shop and the soft toys made in Graubünden, the already harmonious overall experience is maintained and unlocks new potential for future summer and winter projects.
