Titlis launches international campaign for opening of Titlis Tower

The Titlis cable cars are launching an international campaign for the opening of the Titlis Tower, which will be officially opened on May 28 and 29, 2026, on the summit of Mount Titlis (3,020 m a.s.l.). The campaign kicks off with a cinematic teaser trailer, showcasing the tower internationally for the first time – and marking the beginning of a campaign that will bring the structure to life step by step.

Under the guiding message "Are you ready for the awakening?", the teaser opens the international campaign and presents the tower as a new landmark on the summit of the Titlis.

The Titlis Tower was designed by the Basel-based architectural firm Herzog & de Meuron and is part of the infrastructure project "Project Titlis", which aims to further develop the destination architecturally and in terms of tourism.

“The Titlis Tower represents the pioneering spirit of our company. With this structure, we combine technological history, architecture and a new summit experience for our guests,” says André Sidler, Head of Marketing & Sales of Titlis Bergbahnen.

The tower dates back to a radio relay tower built by the former Swiss Post, Telegraph and Telephone (PTT) in the 1980s. For decades, it served as part of the technical infrastructure on the summit. With the Titlis Tower, the structure is now being opened to visitors for the first time and made accessible as a new attraction.

The communication surrounding the opening of the Titlis Tower is structured as a multi-stage campaign. The first phase focuses on the tower's awakening. After decades of technical use, the structure is being presented for the first time as a new experiential destination on the summit. In the second phase, the focus shifts to the Titlis as a place of encounter and perspective – a meeting point where people from all over the world come together and experience the Alps from a new angle. The third phase leads to the official opening of the Titlis Tower in May 2026. The teaser trailer will be distributed internationally via digital channels, social media, and online video platforms and leads to the campaign landing page www.titlis.ch/titlis-tower.

The film was directed by Swiss filmmaker Elmar Bossard. The voiceover is provided by internationally renowned voice artist Michael Morris. The campaign storyline and creative concept were developed in collaboration with the agency standing ovation.

The official opening of the Titlis Tower will take place on May 28 and 29, 2026, with international VIP events. This will be followed by two open house days for the local population and interested visitors.
