Warren Miller’s new on-camera host and narrator, Katie Burrell, professional leisure athlete, filmmaker, and ski industry personality, joins the Warren Miller team for the 77th film. Burrell will lead audiences on a globe-spanning adventure to discover what the world’s best ski and snowboard athletes do on their day off.

Days Off is a celebration of skiing for skiing’s sake, taking audiences from the remote heli-skiing terrain of Alaska and high-alpine mountaineering of Chamonix, France, to legendary powder of Hokkaido, Japan, and the pristine slopes of Deer Valley, Utah. The journey continues through the heart of Canada’s best ski destinations—Revelstoke, Whistler, Pemberton, and Banff—capturing the raw spirit of the sport through backcountry snowmobiling, skijoring, and endless alpine pursuit.

“Warren Miller has always been about more than a ski movie—it’s about telling the stories that make us laugh, cheer, and put us on the edge of our seats,” said Chris Leavell, VP Content Strategy and Production, Warren Miller Entertainment. “Bringing Katie on as our on-screen guide and storyteller is a great evolution for this storied film series in its 77th year. And when she pitched us the “Days Off” idea, we all immediately loved it. The perspective, heart, and humor she brings to these athlete stories are the epitome of what we love about Warren Miller. It’s a fresh perspective on the Warren Miller tradition, but one that brings us back to what Warren himself did so well: go out, live the adventure, and tell the story.”

The film features eight segments shot across three continents, following Burrell as she joins athletes and industry professionals on their days off—the unscripted runs, backcountry lodges, and local traditions that live just beneath the surface of the ski industry.

“Usually, when you see these athletes on camera, you’re seeing them do what they do best. Days Off asks a different question: what do they do when they get to choose?” said Katie Burrell, professional leisure athlete, filmmaker and host of Warren Miller’s Days Off. “Getting to follow them into those moments, and experience them myself, was such a fun way to see the ski world from a different perspective. The audience will come along for the ride and hopefully be reminded that there’s no right way to spend a day in the mountains.”

Featured athletes include Sam Kuch, Craig Murray, Jess Kimura, Marie-France Roy, Christina Lustenberger, Guillaume “Gee” Pierrel, Craig McMorris, Sebastian Judge, Mark Sollors, Truth Smith, Court “Blackbird” Larabee, Mason Mashon, Kaylin Richardson, Ted Ligety, Chuck & Claudia Mumford, Pep Fujas, Sam Mitchell, Marty Schaffer, Kate VanHee, and Himari Takamori, Hinano Sakamoto, Shizuku Hanada, among others. Warren Miller’s Days Off is presented with support from Mammut, Deer Valley, Brooks, REI Co-op, Swany, Silverton Mountain, DryBrew and in production with Outside Studios.
