Ski Beat celebrates 40 years as a UK leader in ski chalet holidays

As Ski Beat approaches its 40th year of offering fully hosted slope-side ski chalets in seven of France’s top ten, high altitude ski resorts, the company has added new chalets, a new in-advance check-in, a new one-in-ten free offer, self-drive holidays, zero deposits, and a new `Toe in the Snow’ beginners’ departure for 2026-27.

Ski Beat’s MD, Laura Hazell, says, “Our priority, four decades on, is to offer home from home ski chalets, in the best locations, in high altitude resorts across the French Alps, hosted by friendly, knowledgeable staff.

This season, Ski Beat has flight-inclusive ski chalet holidays from just £709pp, with 58% of our chalets being ski-in/ski-out, 74% are stand-alone, 39% have hot tubs and 81% with heated boot warmers.

Chalet hosting is so popular with Ski Beat that over 40% of our seasonal staff are returning this season, something that is hugely important for our customers, many of whom return to their favourite chalets and resorts year after year.”

New ski chalets are Chalet Florence in Plagne 1800, a traditional Alpine chalet in the heart of the vast Paradiski area, and one of Ski Beat’s largest chalets, sleeping up to 15 guests. For those taking the entire chalet, one place is offered free.

Also new are Chalet Cervinia and Chalet Stelvio in a prime location in high altitude La Rosiere, both with a one-person free offer for groups of ten.

Laura Hazell adds, “Ski Beat chalet hosts have always provided nutritious and hearty breakfasts, afternoon tea, and three-course evening meals with wine, but one trend we have seen in four decades is a huge increase in guests choosing our vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free alternatives. We were one of the first ski chalet companies to really embrace this.”

To maximise time in the snow, Ski Beat’s British Airways flights depart early morning, and those booking into airport hotels at Gatwick or Manchester can now check-in and drop off baggage the evening before, between 6pm and 9pm, and walk straight to the Gate the next morning.

And skiers keen to reserve their choice of chalet and date have up to 48 hours to hold a booking, deposit-free, with groups offered up to a week to finalise.

While all holidays are offered as flight and transfer-inclusive packages, options for fly-drive are back this season, with £150pp savings available on 23 January, 27 February, 6 and 20 March 2027, and £65pp savings across the rest of the season.

For those new to the mountains, Ski Beat has added a special week for beginners, rusty skiers, and non-skiers, departing on 10th April, for just £741pp. The `Toe in the Snow’ week is hosted at Chalet Gentiane in the high-altitude resort of Les Arcs. Chalet hosts will help newbies acclimatise, find the slopes, the ski schools, and their ski feet.
