SATA Group, operator of Grandes Rousses, Les 2 Alpes, La Grave and Alpe du Grand Serre relies on Axess

The SATA Group, one of Europe's leading ski resort operators, has chosen Axess as its partner for ticketing and access control. By selecting the Austrian technology leader, the group is modernizing its digital infrastructure and laying the foundation for the sustainable operation of its facilities and a future-oriented guest experience.

Deeply rooted in the Oisans region, the SATA Group operates some of France's most prestigious ski resorts, including Alpe d'Huez, Les Deux Alpes, and La Grave. With hundreds of kilometers of slopes, the group welcomes millions of guests each year. Employing more than 1,000 people, the SATA Group is a major player in French mountain tourism and continuously invests in the sustainable development of its infrastructure.

As a former customer of competitor Skidata, the SATA Group will rely on Axess in the future to initiate technological change as early as the upcoming winter season. This underscores the company's commitment to an open, integrated, and scalable platform for ticketing, access management, and customer-centric services.

For Axess AG, this partnership marks another important milestone in its international development. The Austrian company, headquartered in Anif near Salzburg, employs around 540 people worldwide and is represented in more than 50 countries through subsidiaries and sales partners. For over 25 years, Axess has been developing and implementing innovative solutions for ticketing, access management, and visitor flow control. Today, the company is among the international technology leaders and offers solutions for ski resorts, stadiums, leisure facilities, exhibition centers, and tourist destinations.

“This is another significant milestone for the success of the Axess France team. The partnership underscores our technological expertise, our collaborative approach, and our ability to successfully implement tailored solutions that meet the individual requirements of our customers. I am very much looking forward to realizing this project together with SATA Group and leveraging our entire portfolio of Axess RESORT solutions,” explains Maurice Zinniger, Managing Director of TeamAxess France.

The new partnership was officially sealed this spring with the signing of a long-term cooperation agreement.

“We are very proud to be implementing this strategic project together with the SATA Group. The decision to partner with Axess confirms the technological focus of our Austrian company and our leading position in the European market. Destinations of this size, with their complex requirements, demonstrate just how crucial integrated, high-performance solutions are that cover the entire service chain. They form the basis for the long-term success of our customers,” explains Oliver Suter, CEO of Axess AG.

As part of the partnership, a modern and comprehensive system will be implemented for the SATA Group, integrating ticketing, access control, digital sales, and visitor management across the group's locations. The goal is to optimize operational processes, provide scalable systems for future requirements, and offer guests a seamless experience.

With this new collaboration, Axess strengthens its position as a technology leader in the French Alps and underlines the increasing importance of digitalization in international mountain tourism.
