LAAX is one of the world's most renowned freestyle destinations and hosts the LAAX Open. Accordingly, the demands on the snowpark are high: kickers, transitions, and landings must be precisely shaped – even if weather, snow conditions, or tasks change at short notice.

The team relies on tools such as the Bison X for professional snowpark construction and digital solutions from Prinoth Snowpark Services. However, even the best technology must prove itself in everyday use.

This is precisely where a challenge arose: Switching between Pipe Monster and Shield previously took around 45 minutes. This meant the machine was unavailable for its actual work in the park – time the team lacked when quick reactions were needed.

From 45 minutes to 1-2 minutes

The challenge was clear: How can the transition directly on the mountain be made significantly faster?

The solution arose from direct communication between the LAAX team and Prinoth. Together, they developed a hydraulic quick-change system that allows drivers to switch from the Pipe Monster to the blade in just one to two minutes.

The effect is immediate: less downtime, more flexibility. Riders can switch between different tasks almost seamlessly and react more quickly to new demands in the park. Instead of wasting time on setup, more time remains for what matters most: the quality of the snowpark.
