PATS PEAK OPENS REGISTRATION FOR 2027 LEARN TO SKI & RIDE PROGRAM

Registration is now open for the 2027 Pats Peak Learn to Ski & Ride Program, giving young skiers and snowboarders the opportunity to learn, improve their skills and spend more time on snow through a five-week weekday program.

The Learn to Ski & Ride Program combines instruction with lift access and affordable rental options. Each week, participating students receive a one-hour lesson geared toward their age and ability, along with lift access for their scheduled program day. Classes are offered for skiers and snowboarders of varying ability levels, from first-timers to more experienced participants.

The program is available through pre-scheduled school, recreation and homeschool groups throughout the region. Students participating through an existing group receive registration information through their program coordinator. Schools, recreation departments and other organizations interested in starting a new program can contact the Pats Peak Snowsports School at 603-428-3245.

For students who do not have a participating group, the Learn to Ski & Ride Open Program offers an individual registration option for ages 6–17. Students must be at least six years old by January 1, 2027 and in first grade. Session 1 offers select lesson times Monday through Thursday, with Thursday lesson times available for Session 2. Space in the Open Program is limited.

The first five-week session begins on scheduled weekdays starting Monday, January 4, 2027, with the second session beginning Thursday, February 11, 2027. Low student-to-instructor ratios help provide personalized instruction, and students can choose from skiing and snowboarding classes at a variety of levels, including a Freestyle Class designed to teach safe use of terrain park features. A Lift Only option is also available for intermediate and advanced skiers and riders.

One of the program's most popular benefits is the NH Ski & Ride Bonus. Every eligible Learn to Ski & Ride participant can receive a free Junior Full Day/All Lift ticket at Pats Peak, Waterville Valley Resort and Bretton Woods. The bonus is valid beginning Monday, February 22, 2027 through the end of each mountain's respective ski season, giving students three additional opportunities to get out and enjoy the skills they have developed.

Participants also have access to additional program benefits, including special pricing on the Practice Makes Perfect Unlimited Junior Season Pass, discounted Café Cards, parent lift ticket options, and discounts on select equipment and accessories. Helmet rental is included with Learn to Ski & Ride rental packages.

“One of the best parts of this program is watching kids build confidence from week to week,” said Preston Kelsey, Snowsports School Director at Pats Peak. “Five weeks gives students time to learn, practice and progress while still keeping the experience fun. Then the NH Ski & Ride Bonus gives them a great opportunity to keep skiing and riding after their program ends.”

The Pats Peak Snowsports School takes pride in providing high-quality instruction in a fun and supportive environment. With more than 300 instructors, lessons are geared toward each student’s age and ability. Instruction is based on the American Teaching System used by the Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA) and the American Association of Snowboard Instructors (AASI) to help students develop and refine their skiing and snowboarding skills.
