Mt Buller confirms closing date - Sunday for Father's Day

Sunday 6 September will be the 93rd and final day of lifted operations for skiers and snowboarders at Mt Buller for the 2026 snow season.

For Mt Buller’s closing day Buller Ski Lifts is honouring Dads with a special Father’s Day celebration and is encouraging everyone to bring their Dad for a ski or snowboard before the season wraps.

Day tickets are available online for $99 (just $55 for children) and proceeds from all ticket sales on Sunday will go to the local Mansfield Men’s Shed.

“Although we wish the season could roll for a few more weeks it’s special to give a nod to all Dads on Father’s Day and end our season on a positive note that focuses on family and community – which is what Mt Buller is all about,” said Buller Ski Lifts General Manager (and Dad) Noel Landry.

“The Mansfield Men’s Shed does great work to give men in our area a place to connect, to tinker and talk. For 21 years they’ve helped our community in so many ways - repairing wobbly chairs, building nesting boxes, sharing skills and giving men a place to support one another. I’d like this Father’s Day event to be the start of a growing connection between the Men’s Shed and Mt Buller” he added.

The 2026 kicked off with a deep snowfall back on the King’s Birthday long weekend and will tally up 93 days of skiing and snowboarding by Sunday’s close.

Mt Buller ‘green season’ including thrilling RockWire climbs, mountain biking, walks, trail running and a cool calendar of summer events is not far away.
