Zeal Optics Introduces New Slide Lock System, Redefining The Lens Swap

Zeal Optics is changing the way skiers and snowboarders adapt to changing mountain conditions with the introduction of its new patent-pending Slide Lock System (SLs), a next-generation lens interchange technology designed to make swapping lenses faster, simpler and more intuitive.

Building on the brand’s patented Rail Lock System, Slide Lock takes Zeal’s approach to lens interchange one step further. A simple release on the bottom of the goggle frame unlocks the lens, while precisely positioned magnets guide a replacement lens into place for a fast, secure connection. Designed to be intuitive and easy to use, Slide Lock allows riders to change lenses quickly, even with gloves on and a helmet strapped in.

The Slide Lock System makes its debut in Stormveil, Zeal’s newest goggle and the first to feature the new technology. Designed for small-to-medium faces, Stormveil combines Slide Lock with Zeal’s Observation Deck Technology (ODT) and Optimum lens technology, providing an expansive field of view and the optical clarity needed to navigate changing mountain conditions.

Slide Lock System goggles, including Stormveil, include a bonus low-light lens, allowing riders to quickly adapt their vision as light changes throughout the day. Additional features include 100% UV protection, Everclear Anti-Fog, PermaShield Hardcoat, dual strap adjustment, No Slip Grip, helmet compatibility, and is available in both Optimum and Optimum Polarized lens options.

While Stormveil is the first goggle to feature the Slide Lock System, the new system represents a broader evolution of Zeal’s approach to lens interchange. By combining a simple release mechanism with magnetic guidance and a secure locking connection, Slide Lock gives riders a streamlined way to adapt their eyewear as conditions change without taking their focus away from the mountain.
