Schmittenhöhebahn expands management team: Daniel Berchthaller takes over marketing and sales responsibilities.

Schmittenhöhebahn AG will expand its management team in the future by adding a new leadership position for marketing and sales.

• Mag. Daniel Berchthaller will take over the marketing and sales responsibilities of one of the leading tourism companies in the Zell am See-Kaprun region on April 1, 2027.

• The management of Schmittenhöhebahn AG will in future consist of a board member and three authorized signatories for the areas of finance, technology, and sales and marketing.

Traditionally, Schmittenhöhebahn AG is rooted in winter sports; the new structure and the clear focus on developing into a year-round tourist destination sustainably strengthen the company's long-term strategy.

Schmittenhöhebahn AG is restructuring its management team around CEO Dr. Erich Egger and expanding it with a future-oriented approach by adding a new head position for marketing and sales. Effective April 1, 2027, Daniel Berchthaller will assume responsibility for marketing and sales and further advance the successful course already established in this area, with a clear focus on developing the company into a year-round tourist destination.

The management of Schmittenhöhebahn AG will henceforth consist of a board of directors and three authorized signatories responsible for finance, technology, and marketing and sales. With this new structure, the company, as one of the region's leading tourism businesses, is also creating the organizational foundation to further develop its successful business areas, tap into new potential, and take the next step towards sustainable growth.

Daniel Berchthaller (48) holds a Master's degree and has many years of experience in the tourism and cable car industry. For the past 10 years, he was the sole managing director of Reiteralm Bergbahnen GmbH & CoKG in Schladming. Before joining the cable car industry, the Unzmarkt native held various management positions, including at Voglauer Möbelwerke, the Salzburger Aluminium AG Group, and Alpine Bau GmbH. Daniel Berchthaller, who holds a degree in business administration, is married and has two children.
