2026-27 U.S. Alpine Ski Team Announced

U.S. Ski & Snowboard has officially announced the 49 athletes named to the Stifel U.S. Alpine Ski Team for the 2026-27 season. All athletes qualified for the team based on existing alpine criteria.

Returning to the 2026-27 roster are some of the sport's biggest names, including Mikaela Shiffrin, the winningest alpine skier of all time, a three-time Olympic gold medalist, eight-time world champion and reigning World Cup overall champion, Olympic downhill champion and two-time world champion Breezy Johnson, two-time Olympic super-G silver medalist Ryan Cochran-Siegle, and Olympic team combined bronze medalists Jacqueline Wiles and Paula Moltzan. Three-time Olympic medalist and 84-time World Cup winner Lindsey Vonn, who continues to recover from injuries sustained at the Milano Cortina Games, is also named to the team.

The upcoming 2026-27 Audi FIS Ski World Cup schedule is set, featuring 40 women's races at 20 venues and 43 men's races at 21 venues. The event of the season will take place at the 2027 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in Crans Montana, Switzerland, Feb. 1-14, where men and women will each race for five medal events, including the team combined.

The World Cup tour kicks off in Sölden, Austria, Oct. 24-25, with the traditional opening giant slaloms, before moving to Levi, Finland, and Gurgl, Austria, for men's and women's slaloms in November. The tour then heads to the U.S. for a Thanksgiving weekend doubleheader Nov. 28-29: The women return to Vermont for the Stifel Killington Cup presented by Dunkin’ with a giant slalom and slalom, while the men race super-G and giant slalom at the Stifel Copper Cup at Copper Mountain, Colorado. The momentum continues at the legendary Stifel Birds of Prey in Beaver Creek, Colorado, where the men race Dec. 3-6 and the women follow Dec. 11-13. The season wraps up on home snow at the Stifel Sun Valley Finals in Sun Valley, Idaho, March 20-25, where the Crystal Globes will be awarded.

"This is a very determined and impressive group of alpine athletes who are fully prepared to compete at the highest level as we head into a World Championship season," said Borgen Family Alpine Director Sasha Rearick. "Their commitment both in summer training at the Center of Excellence powered by iFIT and on the snow has set the stage for what promises to be an exciting season."
